𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝟲 - 𝗔 𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗣 𝗧𝗢 𝗕𝗨𝗦𝗔𝗡

"I am going to fall in love with you. You may not be human, and not be able to sleep, eat or cry but I'm human and I can do those things. So my plan is to fall in love with you. That way, I won't lose anything I love and I'll live."

His smirk faltered, "And you are so sure that, that plan will work? You're. A. Fool."

"Has anyone ever tried this kind of plan before?" I asked and he remained silent signalling to me a 'no'. "Well, then I might as well try." I picked up the fallen picture which I hadn't even noticed had shattered completely.

I then noticed Doom crouched down beside me, he took the picture and took out the shards of glass before brushing it off and handing it back to me. "You better hope this works for yourself." He said before getting up and walking away.

I had just gotten inside my house when my phone started ringing. "Hey Dad, how are you?"

"I'm good, honey. I was just calling to double-check if you were still coming to visit me this weekend?" Shit. I had completely forgotten. "Yes, don't worry dad. I'll be travelling to you tomorrow, okay?"

"Oh, that's good. Please stay safe, I'll prepare something nice for you to eat, we can go to the beach too. It will be great." My dad chuckled over the phone, I could tell he was excited. "Alright Dad, I'll call you tomorrow okay?"

"Mhm, okay. Goodnight honey."

"Goodnight, dad."

I knew that I had to cancel work for the next few days but knowing how busy the cafe has been these past few days I didn't think that Jake would let me. I quickly called Jake to tell him that I would need to take a few days off and he allowed me to. Now I just had to call Daeun and tell her that I couldn't babysit Taehyun.

"Daeun, I'm so sorry but I won't be able to babysit Taehyun this weekend. I have to visit my dad this weekend, do you think you could get a babysitter for the time being? I'll help you pay for it, don't worry."

"No Hwayoung it's okay. Go and visit your dad you don't have to help me. I have a plan, go and enjoy yourself." She said. We talked for a bit longer before I ended the call and started packing my bags for the trip.

I knew I wouldn't need much so I just packed my duffel bag with some clothes and gifts for my dad. I then realised that I hadn't told Doom. I would've called him but I don't have his number. I would have visited him but I don't know where he lives. I then decided to just leave a note on the table. I was sure he would come teleporting to my house to find me so I didn't need to worry too much.

I had just gotten onto my train that was heading from Seoul to Busan. I had my earphones plugged in, some snacks from the convenience store and some movies from my watch list saved. I started watching my movies and relaxing once the train ride had started, occasionally taking some photos of the view outside from time to time.

Suddenly a message formed on my subtitles, it was different to the dialogue and I found myself confused about what was going on.

'You never told me you were leaving. Where are you going to? I'm in your house right now.'

From the last sentence, I knew that it was Doom trying to communicate with me. I didn't know he could do that though. How did he expect me to reply back to him though?

I just ignored his messages and continued watching my show. He's practically a God, he'll be fine without me.

"Dad, I missed you so much." I ran into my dad's embrace once I had exited the train station. It had been so long since I had last visited him and to be in his arms right now was the best feeling ever. "Hello honey, it's much better seeing you in person rather than on the phone. You're looking beautiful as ever too." He said.

I quickly greeted his friends who were also here with us. "You remember my friends from the last time you visited right?"

"Of course." I chuckled and gave them all a quick hug. Ever since my dad moved to Busan with his friends 6 years ago, they've been living together like a little family. I didn't see them every time I visited my dad but I still remember them from the times I did see them.

The 6 of us had just gotten to the house and I was placing my stuff in the guest bedroom. My dad and his friends were in the backyard cooking some food on the barbecue. I was only going to be here for 2 days so I wanted to make the most of it and enjoy the time I spent with my dad. I didn't plan on telling my dad about my cancer because I didn't want him to worry about me. I wanted my life to be the same before I died. I didn't want people to treat me differently.

"Honey, the burgers are finished, would you like to try one?" My dad called from outside and I did a quick jog towards him and out to the garden. "With extra pickles, just how I like it." I smiled and took a bite. It was delicious.

We then spent the remainder of the evening outside talking and eating lots of food.

It's these kinds of moments that make me wish that I could live a bit longer.
