𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝟮𝟬 - 𝗗𝗢𝗨𝗕𝗟𝗘 𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘

3 𝘿𝘼𝙔𝙎 𝙇𝘼𝙏𝙀𝙍 -

My room was a mess as I pulled out the item I'd been searching so hard for. A beige, flowy sundress that I'd bought a few months ago to wear at the beach but since I ended up not going this would be the first time I ever wore it for my date with Riki.

I brushed out my hair opting on leaving it natural and slid on my shoes before putting on a little bit of makeup and spraying lots of perfume on myself before running out of my room. "Okay, let's go!" I called for him from my living room and I watched him walk down the stairs in a black shirt paired with some simple black trousers and a black jean jacket. "All black really?" I groaned.

I wasn't even surprised by it. I was just pissed. "Hopefully the date isn't located at a graveyard otherwise I'd think that I overdid it with the beige." I spat out sarcastically and he grinned before clicking his fingers. His outfit had changed from black to white. "Is this better, love?" He asked and I nearly choked on the air around me.

He looked... really good? Though you couldn't deny that black was his colour he still looked effortlessly handsome in all white too. He sported a white button-up shirt paired with some beige trousers. "Much better," I whispered and he smirked satisfied with how flustered I was before linking his hands in mine.

"Recharge, love." He pulled the two of us out of the door and into the car as he started driving away and through the highway towards a hillside which covered most of the view of Seoul. "Wow, this is..." My words died on my tongue as there was no way to describe the view, the feeling. "Beautiful." I settled on a simple word as Riki clicked his fingers and a long blanket with some pillows and plates of food sat.

"I know I'm quite impressive." He chuckled and the two of us sat down as we ate some food and talked. "I see you're eating well." I gestured towards the strawberries in his hands. "Yeah well, it's not really a picnic date if only one person is eating." He popped the strawberry in his mouth and I agreed before popping one in mine.

And then immediately spitting it out.

"Oh my god what the fuck is this? Why does it taste so weird?" I grimaced and wiped my mouth with a tissue as Riki just cocked his head to the side confused by my reaction. "I think it tastes pretty good. I microwaved them, they taste way better this way." He said and my eyes widened as big as plates.

"Who does that? Why would you do that anyway? You don't eat food so it doesn't matter what it tastes like."

"For your information, yes I don't eat food but I can still taste things. I don't like strawberries the normal way, when they're microwaved they're way better."

I burst out laughing at his answer and popped another strawberry in my mouth to test whether his opinion felt smart and valid enough. It's safe to say that his idea of microwaving strawberries so they taste good is absolute bullshit. "Stop wasting the strawberries I wanna eat them." He groaned yet a smile was present on his face as he snatched the plate from me.

He was smiling. A proper smile.

𝘿𝘼𝙀𝙐𝙉 𝙋𝙊𝙑 -

"So this is your first date idea?" I chuckled as Jake handed me a bowl and spoon. "Well I would've done something more special but with everything going on recently I wasn't able to find the time. I'm sorry." He sighed and I gave him a little nudge and handed him a bag of flour.

"No, I love the idea. It makes today more memorable." I smiled and Jake did the same as we started baking a cake together. As a mother of one and a waitress, I have pretty good experience with baking. Jake... not as much. "D-DAEUN THE FLOUR IS GOING EVERYWHERE!" He shouted and I quickly shushed him whilst trying to quieten my laugh.

Jake owning a cafe and not knowing how to bake simple things like cakes had to be one of the strangest things in the world today. By for in the Top 5 of strange. "You're gonna wake up Taehyun if you keep screaming like that." I brought the speed of the electric whisk down and Jake calmed down whilst attentively watching the flour as it moved around the bowl.

"Y-you know you don't have to do that." I chuckled, this boy had to be the most stupid person I'd ever met... but also the kindest. "You don't have to watch it, I promise you the flour won't run away from us." He nodded and we moved on to making the other parts of the cake batter.

"I should really learn shouldn't I?"

"Yup."

Once the cake was ready we sat down on the sofa and cut out a slice each for us to eat. It tasted pretty good thanks to my amazing skills and Jake's... side quests. I'd never thought Jake and I would have a chance together. I would see him in all these advertisements with all these other girls and celebrities and just feel a slight pang of jealousy, yet he wasn't even mine.

I wasn't born with the looks or wealth or teenagehood that other girls had. I went through a lot but managed to land myself with one of the greatest men of my time and I don't even know how. I don't know why... but I'm happy and so is my son.

My pride and joy.

My son.

Taehyun.

Everything I did was for him and him only.
