"Aw man. I was hoping I could wear my costume." Mina sighed.

We were all in the class 1A waiting room. Everyone was in their gym uniforms. I will admit, I was a little nervous.

"At least everyone will be in uniform. That will keep things fair, right?" Ojiro said, talking to Mina.

Everyone started conversations of their own. I sighed and did some stretches.

"Everyone, get your game faces on! We will be entering the arena soon!" Ida shouted as he entered the room.

Some of my classmates physically showed fear, not only on their faces but their bodies, too.

"Midoriya." Todoroki walked over to the green haired boy. I was like 2 feet away, and I totally wasn't easdropping. I just happened to hear them talking.

"Yes, Todoroki? What's up?" Midoriya turned his attention to the dual haired boy. Why does he look so nervous? Everyone turned to look at the two boys.

"From an objective standpoint, I think it's fairly clear that I'm stronger than you." Todoroki said bluntly. I bit my lip, trying to hold in my laughter. That was a bit harsh.

"Uh yeah." Midoriya nodded his head. You're not supposed to agree with him!

"However, you've got All Might in your corner helping you out. I'm not one to pry about what's going on between you two, but know that I will beat you." Todoroki stated. Dayum! Shit is about to go down!

"What's with all these declarations of war lately?" Denki asked.

I turned toward Bakugo and put my hand on his shoulder, "Don't go losing on me. I wanna fight you, kay?"

"I won't lose. Not to those extras or to you." He smirked, making me smile.

"Izumi, not you too!" Denki gasped. I giggled and patted his head.

Todoroki and Deku had a long ass conversation. What in the kdrama is this?

"Hey! Make some noise!" Mic said over the speakers. The crowd erupted in cheers.

"Let me hear you scream as our main students make it to the stage!"

Class 1A all stepped out from this long hallway that we all had to wait in. While we're were waiting, I adjusted my earpieces to block out the crowd to an extent. I would have to deal with the silence for today. But I mean, nothing is really silent.

I zoned out as Uncle Mic introduced our class to the crowd. I could hear my classmates' heartbeats. I could tell they were all nervous. Even Todoroki and Bakugo.

We all walked out to the center of the arena. What's with all the walking? Mic introduced the rest of the classes after ours.

"Now for the introductory speech!" Midnight spoke up. Everyone started fawning over her.

"Silence, everyone! And for the stufent pledge, we have Katsuki Bakugo!" Oh shit. Who let him do this?

Our whole class watched as he walked over to the stairs and stepped up to the stage. We're fucked.

"I just wanna say, I'm gonna win."

There was complete silence for like five seconds before I busted out laughing. Im sorry, your going to take this situation seriously?

"I knew he'd say something like that!" The class said in unison. Womp womp.

The crowd of students erupted in boos, telling him to get off the stage.

"Wothout further ado, it's time for us to get started!" Midnight announced.

"U.A. really doesn't believe in letting us catch a breath, huh?" Uraraka said, taking my attention away from Ms. Midnight.

"This is where you begin feeling the pain!" Oh shit, what happened?

"The first faithful game of the festival!" She flung around a whip thingy in her hand. I that even appropriate for school?

The big screen showed an image of soothing spinning. Oh, I hope I win the lottery! This seriously feels like I'm gambling. Gambling my future. Woah, that's poetic.

"What could it be?" She smirked. The gambling wheel finally stopped spinning, and it showed us our first game.

An obstacle course? So, like a race? Running? I love running! I can't wait to run!

"All 11 classes will participate in this treacherous contest. The track is four kilometers around the outside of the stadium." Midnight explained. Only four?

" I don't wanna restrain anyone, at least in this game." She licked her lips before continuing, "as long as you don't leave the course, you're free to do whatever your heart desires!"

"Now then, take your places, contestants." Everyone got ready to run as we waited for the signal for us to go.

"Begin!" Midnight shouted. Everyone started running. I ran past people, I didn't want to get stuck in the tunnel.

People pushed and shoved as I escaped the tunnel quickly. I ran off while everyone was stuck. I heard ice form behind me, but I kept running. I wasn't going to let Todoroki beat me.

I heard my other classmates following behind Todoroki. I listened all around me, and I head metal loving up ahead. Were there robots?

I slid in between the robots legs, "Nope! Not today!"

I ran past the robots quickly. The others will be fine. They got that. I think.

"Wow! Look at mini Aizawa go! She ran right past those robots!" Mic announced.

"How do you feel like now that your daughter is in the lead?" Mic asked my dad.

"She's a fast runner. She's actually loves it. But she's being cocky. She probably won't finish first." He said bluntly. What the hell!? What happened to those supportive words you told me this morning!?

I heard more ice forming, "This is triggering my fight or flight..."

Did Todoroki freeze the robots?

I heard him running behind me, so I continued on. This was actually kinda peaceful. I wasn't even running at my fastest yet.

"That's Todoroki from class 1A pulling ahead into second place with a devastating display!" Mic announced.

He did freeze the robots! His quirk really is something else! Maybe I should make a pact with him...

I started slowing down so he could catch up to me. I smirked as we ran side by side.

"H-Hey! Todoroki!" I called out to him. It was harder to talk after running for so long.

"Hm?" He looked over at me.

"The two classmates in the lead are side by side, head to head. Who will get first!?" Mic hyped up the race.

"Let's... make a pact!" I suggested.

"Why?" He furrowed his eyebrows at my suggestion.

"Because we both want to win. You just seem like you have something to prove. I can use my quirk and help you, but you have to use your quirk to help me. It can just be for the race if you want." I explained.

"I don't need you help, but your quirk will make things easier. You got yourself a deal." He held his hand out to me.

"Let's do this, friend." I smiled and shook it.

His eyes widened, and I ran past him while he was distracted. I giggle at his confusion. He was quite adorable.

We will definitely have an interesting friendship.
