Aarav's POV

Sayi turned away, her steps quick and determined, leaving no room for anyone to stop her. Her silence screamed louder than words, and I knew—she was spiraling, drowning in the chaos of what had just unfolded. She needed space. She needed air.

But I couldn’t let her go. Not now. Not like this.

Before she could walk past me, I caught her hand. Her sudden stop sent a jolt through me.

"Where do you think you're going?" My voice was low but firm.

"Leave me." Her words were sharp, her tone stern, but her trembling hand betrayed her. I could feel the storm brewing inside her—the anger, the confusion, and most of all, the vulnerability she was trying so hard to hide.

"Kabhi nahi!" I said softly, my eyes searching hers, silently begging her to trust me. To let me fix this.

I knew there were a thousand questions running through her mind, tearing her apart piece by piece. And I couldn't, I wouldn't, let her bear this alone. Not when I was here.

"Come with me" I said, my grip firm but careful, guiding her toward my room.

"I won't! I want to leave!" Her voice rose, but I kept moving, determined.

"You can't" I snapped, my frustration breaking through.

"Aarav, haath chhodo uska!" Maa's voice rang out behind me, sharp and disapproving.

"Sidhh, leave her hand. You'll regret this!" Dad added, his tone a clear warning.

I curled my fists, my patience hanging by a thread. "I know what I’m doing. Please don’t interfere." Without waiting for another word, I pulled her inside and closed the door.

The moment the door shut, her palm stung against my cheek.

"Maine kaha na, mujhe yahan se jaana hai! Don’t you dare show your power on me... leave me alone" she shouted, her voice cracking under the weight of her tears.

For a fleeting second, my heart twisted—not from the slap but from the realization that she’d held back in front of everyone. She didn’t want to disrespect me. Even in her pain, she cared.

"Leave you alone....so that you could overthink? " I snapped at her. I closed my eyes calming myself

"I’m sorry love!" I whispered, my voice barely audible. "But I can’t let you leave....I won’t let you drown in your thoughts. Not while I’m alive."

"Don't... don't call me that! It is suffocating me" she screamed, her voice trembling, yet sharp enough to pierce through me like a blade.

For a moment, it felt like the world had stopped spinning. My heart? It didn’t just stop beating—it shattered. Her words echoed in my head, louder and louder, drowning out every other sound.
