Janet was thinking about her birthday, which wasn't until October. She would be turning ten on October 14th, which would would be on Columbus Day. She decided to play a trick on her friend, Lance.
"Lance, today's my birthday!"
Lance's eyes grew wide with shock. "Is it?!
"Yup!"
"Happy Birthday, Janet!" He exclaimed. "We need to have a party!"
"I want a chocolate cake, with chocolate frosting!" Janet said.
"You got it!" But, all of a sudden, Lance realized something. Janet didn't have two birthdays, she only had one. "You have only one birthday, Janet, and that's in October! You don't have a July birthday!"
"Fooled ya!" Janet giggled.
"You're so clever!" Lance laughed. "Fool me once, fool me twice!"
Janet wished she had a second birthday, but that was never gonna happen.
