Lightnings were striking over the blazing midnight sky and the rain was flooding the streets of Atzékan like a monsoon. Dripping wet, he was standing in the middle of the street, his black hair clenched to his face and a long blade in his right hand that blood was dripping from, turning the puddle red. His chest was moving up and down heavily and he could feel his hand slightly shaking as he was looking around, trying not to make a move. All he could hear was the loud hissing underneath the sound of the rain and his own panting that was dull in his ears. Suddenly emerald green eyes lit up in the darkness behind the blacksmith's house. They were the slit eyes of a huge reptile that was now slowly slithering between the houses. As the beast came into the light, it showed as a giant black serpent that was throning at about 10 meters tall. It's fangs were as huge as arms and it's eyes had the size of a human head. It's tongue was slithering across the floor and it's eyes were now staring directly at him. And in that moment he felt enormous fear of the beast in front of him. Slowly he took a few steps backwards, panting and his heart was almost jumping out of his chest. The serpent hissed at him and slowly started to slither around him, surrounding him with its giant snake body. Suddenly a voice started to echo through the city. It was the loudest and dullest voice that he had ever heard and it was just repeating one sentence in a language he could not understand.

"Him with the eyes of a snake, the body of a wolf. Him with the mind of a snake, the heart of a wolf. He shall take and be given."

His heart was beating faster and faster and he held onto the blade in his hand as if it could help him in any kind of way. The serpent kept moving faster and faster and the water was splashing around it's body. And suddenly he was blinded by a green light that slowly but surely turned the serpent into a giant black wolf with those very emerald eyes. It's fangs sharp like knives and it too was towering over him as if it were to eat him alive. Thick saliva was running out of its giant mouth and it's claws looked so sharp they could behead him with just one hit. And the wolf too spoke to him in that very same language that he had never heard before.

"Him with the eyes of a wolf, the body of a snake. Him with the mind of a wolf, the heart of a snake. He shall take and be given."

Suddenly the buildings next to him started to catch fire. His eyes widened and he just took his eyes of the wolf for one second. But as soon as his eyes had shifted back, the wolf was gone and there was just fire in its place. Frantically he tried to put out the fires that were starting to burn the whole city. People were rushing out of their houses, screaming and some of them ran through the streets like human torches, lit on fire by the flames that surrounded them. And from the smoke rose Kaydan who had removed the giant fur coat from his shoulders to not catch on fire. He was guiding two waves of water with his hands, trying to put out the flames, but no amount of water could withstand them. In fact, the water seemed to do nothing at all and just disappeared in the raging fire that looked like it came straight from hell. He too tried to help his people by putting fires out, but every time he touched something it caught on fire as well. In pure panic he started running towards Kaydan.

"Brother!", he yelled. "Please help me!"

Kaydan looked him straight in the eyes and he could see all the hate that his brother had for him. He clenched his jaw and could feel tears filling his eyes. He was still desperately trying to put out the fires and had stopped realizing that he just caused more fires with everything he touched. Kaydan came over to him, walking from the ashes like a Phoenix. And he reached out to him. His brother was reaching out for him, he would save him. Just like he did when they were kids. Relived and full of hope he reached for his brother's hand. But the moment that he had touched him, Kaydan too started to catch on fire. His skin slowly started melting away as he was looking at him in horror.
