If you're going to break my heart, tear it apartI would hurt less than saying nothing at all
Secrecy is the temptation, honesty is the truth
We're not high school kids, say it like an adult
Skipping stones like a pro over dark bloody waters
I'd throw the whole anchor in to sink, but you won't
Go on and ghost me, haunt me in my nightmares
My conscience will remember abandoned morals
I'll learn to forgive while you'll learn to forget
It's all the same, you think, as I live with resent
Lashing whips at myself for being too much
Pulling us both into the depths of regret
My naivety in hell turned to shame
You can put all the blame on me
I know, a good girl turned sour
The sweet taste of friendship turned bitter
In the face of promises to stay you left
So I had to rot and ripe without you
The lesson is learned, thanks for no thoughts
It's the guessing game with you, it always was
