They did what they were told. For once. They stayed inside the room, not leaving for anything. They weren't so much scared as they were bored. Nonetheless, they still were thankful when the Winchesters walked through the door.
"Well that was easy," Dean said, setting his stuff down. "You look like shit," Natasha said. "Just a normal hunt. This stuff always happens," Sam said. "Allow me to at least examine you for injuries," Bruce said.
"Listen doc, we're fine. We've handled stuff much worse than this and survived without 'proper medical care,'" Dean said taking out peroxide and a few cotton balls to clean their cuts.
"So, anything happen while we were gone?" Dean asked as he dabbed at a gash running along his arm. "Nothing but extreme boredom," Clint said. "But what went on on that hunt? You two don't look so good."
"Same ol' same ol'. Bitch didn't want us finding her necklace that was tying her here, and tossed us 'round the cemetery like a couple of rag dolls. Sam managed to melt the jewelry, and the rest they say is history."
"So this is a common occurrence?" Steve asked. "Yup. Just another day in the life of a hunter. And Fury wants me and my brother to teach you. We have a lot to learn, so I suggest you keep your yaps shut unless absolutely necessary," Dean said. They were having a discussion about Wendigos when they heard a ruffle of wings.
Castiel appeared suddenly causing the group of superheroes to jump. "Who the hell is that?!" Tony exclaimed at the same time as Dean calmly said, "Hey Cas." Cas didn't pay attention to the extra people in the room.
"Hello Dean, Sam. I found out that the case you were doing is a witch. I thought you should know because I know how much you hate witches," he said.
"Damnit! Well, looks like we won't be able to work the case anyway. We have some other things to have to do. Sammy, you call Garth while I fill him in," Dean said. "Sam nodded and stepped out in the hall.
"Am I the only one wondering how the hell he zapped in here?" Tony asked. "Oh yeah, one thing I forgot to mention: angels and demons exist. All of them are dicks, except for Cas here; he's cool."
"Are you kidding me?! Angels and demons?! Damn this just keeps getting better and better," Tony said.
"I assure you, we are not as big a problem as we were during the apocalypse, so you don't have to worry."
"The apocalypse?! What else have you forgotten to tell us?!" Dean rolled his eyes, "You'll find out when we want you to." Cas turned worried eyes to Dean. There's an, urgent message I came to tell you and your brother." Dean's expression became concerned. "What? What's wrong?"
"I'd like to talk to you and your brother alone," he said tossing glances at the others in the room. "Uh, do you mind if we," Dean said pointing to the door. "Not at all."
The two men stepped out into the hall and Dean motioned for Sam to come over. "Gotta go Garth. Yeah talk to you later, okay bye," Sam spoke into the phone. Sam looked to the two of them. "So?"
"You remember how Lucifer killed Gabriel?" Sam and Dean exchanged worried glances. "Yeah..." Cas looked up and met their gaze. "Well, he didn't."
