"What do you mean he's not dead?" Dean asked. "It seems as though Gabriel knew what was about to happen, fake his death using a bit of grace, and found a new vessel," he explained. "How the hell did he manage to lay low all this time?" Sam asked.

"That's the thing I wanted to tell you.. His new vessel is not human." The brothers looked at him with wide eyes. Then what the hell is he?" Dean asked. "His vessel is a god..."

"A GOD?!" Dean screamed. "Seriously?!" Castiel looked to the floor and nodded. "Isn't that fan friggen tastic."

"Dean, I know how you feel about my brothers and sisters, but Gabriel is less of a 'winged dick' than the rest of them and is more likely to help us than harm us."

"I still don't like the guy," Dean mumbled. "We know Dean," Sam said. "But at least it's not Michele or Lucifer." Dean nodded slightly, "Yeah, but Gabriel?"

"Oh, there's another thing you should know," Cas said. "And what's that?"

"Do you remember what Gabriel called himself during the apocalypse?" The Winchesters nodded. "Wasn't it something like Loki?" Castiel nodded his confirmation. "That's his new vessel."

"So the trickster god is harboring the trickster angel?" Sam asked. "Yes." "Well isn't that just great."

"Just how Dean and I share a more profound bond, so do you and my brother." Sam scoffed, "So making me relive the same day over and over in which my brother dies, is a more profound bond? Very interesting." Dean snickered.

"Heh, sounds like one of those old school crushes where the little boy's mean to the girl when he has a crush on her. I always knew you were a Samantha." Sam glared at his brother. "Shut up Diane." Dean frowned, "Yeah whatever, but I don't want the guy anywhere near us. Who knows what kinda crap he'll pull."

Cas grimaced, "Then that's bad." Dean looked at him, "What's bad?" "He said he needed to tell us something, to warn us. I don't know of what, I just thought I should tell you." "Well isn't that just swell," Dean said opening the door.

"I feel as though you are being sarcastic Dean," Cas said. "Well no shit Sherlock," he retorted. "Dean, if my brother has important news to tell us, then he should be able to," Cas countered.

"What're you talking about?" Clint inquired. "None of your damn business," Dean snapped. "Dean," Sam quietly scolded, only to receive a glare. There was a sudden flutter of wings and the God of Mischief stood in the room.

"Hey-o!" Dean looked up with a sour expression on his face. "Speak of the devil." Cas looked at Dean, "Wrong brother." "It's an expression Cas," Sam explained, meanwhile the Avengers were going crazy with what to do with their sworn enemy.

Everybody spoke at once: "What the hell is he doing here?" "Get him out of my tower now!" "How did he escape from Asguard?" "Brother what are you doing here?" "Who is that guy?" "Can someone explain this, I'm confused." and more spoken words were lost to the babbling of people.

"HEY! WILL YA SHUT UP?" Loki screamed. The Avengers fell silent, not used to hearing Loki speak with modern language. "There, isn't that much better? Now that you all shut your yaps, I can explain. Although I don't really need to do much explaining to the Three Musketeers over there," he said pointing to Sam, Dean, and Cas. The Avengers turned to give them expectant looks.

"Don't look at us, we didn't just pop out of thin air," Dean said. Steve opened his mouth to comment that, yes, one of you actually did pop out of thin air, but Natasha slowly shook her head. He decided to go with her better judgement and kept quiet.

"I am not the Loki you think I am," he went on to explaining. "If you are not my brother, then who are you?" Thor asked intimidatingly. "Loki," if you could call him that anymore, took a step back, but held out his hand nonetheless. "The name's Gabriel. But I am a trickster like your brother, so we have some stuff in common."

"If you're like Loki, then how can you be trusted?" Clint asked. Dean let out a snort, "Oh ho, he can't. He's just another di-" he was cut off with a snap of Loki/Gabe's? hands. "Gabriel," Cas growled.

"Whaaaat? You know he's annoying," he said. "Whoever you are, you better stop messing with my colleagues and explain yourself before I shoot your ass," Fury said. Gabriel sat down in a chair, his feet propped up on the table, and conjured a lollipop in his mouth.

"Whatever," he said, and with a wave of his hand Dean's voice broke out. "-uck you, you feathery dick!" Gabriel smiled, "Love you too Dean-o."

"It is obvious you are not my brother, but how are in his body?" Thor asked. Gabriel leaned back in his chair. "Easy, I asked him to be my vessel, and he said yes." Steve looked at him, "Vessel? What are you?" Gabriel pulled the sucker out of his mouth with a loud pop. "I'm an archangel, and that's my brother Cassie, but you probably know that already."

"But that's not why I came here. Sam, Dean. There's something you should know." That was never a good thing. "What is it?" Sam asked warily. Gabriel took a deep breath.

"The other angels have been talking. There's a rumor going around Heaven; ever since you two knuckleheads released the darkness, Lucifer's been plotting to escape hell. Michele as well. If they manage to actually escape, well, there could be another apocalypse..."
