~Episode Six: Just Kid $h*t~
Joey's phone had been blowing up all morning and all of the night before with panicked messages from Alice as a result of Amerie's campaign video blowing up. The video entailed an audio recording of Alice's proclamation that she'd like to eradicate all straight men and labelled her as a misandrist which lost her a substantial amount of votes considering her policies were based on equality and inclusion and ensuring opportunities for all. She wasn't the only one who took a hit though, Sasha had been caught littering on camera as well as groping a drunk girl at a party which didn't do well for her politically-correct-woke-twitter-warrior image.
Although everyone was laughing at the CUMLORDs' segment of the video, not as much damage had been done in terms of votes as the video of them acting like idiots was not as damning as the dirt on the female candidates.
As Zoe announced over the school P.A system that Amerie was now catching up to Spider who was still on the lead for now, Amerie dramatically brushed her hair over her shoulder and pretended to mostly accept the praise. Miss Obah fell in step with the four friends—Quinni had text Joey not to come get her for school that morning so she wasn't with them—"Nicely done," the teacher praised the girl, "you'd better brace yourself for retaliation though. In my experience, men like that don't take kindly to being laughed at."
As Miss Obah walked off, Sasha approached Amerie angrily, "Okay, that video was below the belt." She fumed, "You know my cups are biodegradable. And I was so munted at that party, like, I don't even know what I was doing."
"Hey, just reporting the facts." Amerie shrugged.
"Okay, well, your facts are going to hand Spider the victory and if that happens—"
"The cum'll be on your hands," Darren interrupted Sasha. Harper burst out laughing and had to turn away while Joey covered her mouth with her hand to hide her giggling as Sasha's expression became even more sour if possible before she turned on her heel and walked away.
"Hey, I love the smell of scandal in the morning," Darren called after her.
Harper cleared her throat, noticing the eyes on Amerie, "Damn, Am, looks like your video really did the trick," she commented.
"Yeah, I owe Rowan big time."
"Oh, shit," Joey muttered when she noticed Alice walking towards them with an irritated expression on her face, "Incoming."
"What the actual fuck Amerie?" Alice demanded, "That video—what I said was taken completely out of context."
"Was it?" Darren muttered to Joey who found herself agreeing.
