The capital: unknown time

Rage was all he felt fires were burning all around him, the screams were endless, and the dead littered the field friends, loved ones, they were everywhere. The faces stared at him blood pouring out of empty eye sockets he looked down at his hand and he was holding the person responsible the figure smiled at him razor sharp teeth a blackened face with no features voices started to whisper in his head.

"Do it, kill him, make him suffer like you suffered, the world is yours for the taking now, he took her from you" the voices said

At the last voice he screamed the scream was heard for miles it shook the earth. He destroyed his enemy brutally and without mercy till their was nothing left he was covered in blood but at what cost they he felt robbed of his humanity but they took her from him and he was going to make sure he paid them back in blood.

"I'll make them pay....ILL KILL THEM ALL!" Naruto said

Naruto's eyes shot open and sat up in his bed quickly, he began to scan the room to see if the enemy was around. He noticed the sun was rising and beamed through his curtains, he was shaking and in a cold sweat he hadn't felt this feeling in so long it was fear. What he saw In his dream felt so real he looked down at his hands and he could still see them covered in blood. Was this dream a look into the future or was it his inner demons playing tricks on him he got up and walked to his bathroom and splashed water on his face. He stared in the mirror and was met with red eyes staring back at him he decided to shower and call a council meeting. After some time Naruto was already in the council chambers waiting everyone started to enter and they looked at their emperor, he looked stressed and like he hadn't slept.

"My lord is everything alright?" Altan asked worryingly

He didnt answer.

"Lord Naruto?" Akira said

Still no answer.

He looked up at the table and the visions from last night replayed in his head he started to have a miniature PTSD attack. A hand was then placed on his shoulder that broke him out his thoughts.

"My lord everyone is here" Wei said with a small smile

"Huh, oh sorry I was just in deep thought" Naruto replied

Everyone looked at each other they had never seen him like this and concern was all over their faces. Naruto began to explain his nightmare to them they were intent to listen to him he also told them about his encounter with Itachi and Kisame on the last day of the festival.

"I'm guessing you think a war is coming and you want to be ready and try to prevent your nightmare from coming true" Wei said

"Indeed, as much as I want the Akatsuki dealt with privately and without the loss of civilian life I don't think that's an option anymore" he replied

"Hmmm, let's look at our alliances and go over them and possible threats" Altan said

"Konoha and Suna are our main alliances for sure given you know both Kages personally I do not think we have to be worried about them. While Kumo, Iwa, and Kiri agreed to the trade agreements they still did not fully accept alliances. Kiri I understand the Mizukage seems wise and is focused on rebuilding her nation after her civil war but the other two I am suspicious of" Akira said

"Iwa is more than likely angry at me for being Minatos son he did kill thousands of their Shinobi in the 3rd Great Ninja War, and Kumo will look for any reason to bolster its military for they believe they can handle things themselves" Naruto said

"Possible targets?" Altan asked

"Given the state of each nation and the Akatsuki I say Iwa, Kumo and Oto given the fact that orochimaru is still at large" Wei said
