Episode Thirteen
...

Dabi stood outside the bank his mask on but dressed in a fancy suit. He knew he'd burn through it so he didn't bother getting a rental. He found rental suits to be tacky, but then again, he was raised by a famous rich hero, so perhaps he still held that privilege in his heart. His black hair was still spiked and mostly unkempt, but no one batted an eye. In a society of flashy heroes and quirks, even a masked man standing in front of a major bank wouldn't garner too much attention.

All of the people were too absorbed in the physical aspects of society. It was amusing, but it didn't bother Dabi at the moment. He was focused on putting all of his pain into his craft as he walked in confidently.

The banks floor was made of marble and emeralds that weaved and twisted like Dragons. It was the biggest bank in Illumina City, but Dabi didn't think it needed this much razzle dazzle. It was unnecessary, yet that was the case with so much of the world.

He looked at the relatively small line in front of him. He could simply kill them all and get right to the clerk, but he decided against it. While it would be simple and to the point the clerk could trigger the silent alarm and start the count down before Hawks and Izuku got done on the roof. "It's just six people I can wait." Dabi muttered to himself.

He assumed it would be at the most five minutes, but he soon realized he'd be waiting much longer as the banks ambient music ran loops in his brain. He had picked the time for the heist, but he hadn't considered that he'd be stuck in the line for so long.

A girl in a while dress stood behind him, and her aura was irritating. He wasn't sure why she, in particular, made his skin crawl with this overwhelming sensation. Perhaps it was the thought that Hawks was simply a traitor. He could deal with Hawks easily. However, it would be annoying if the plan's collapse due to the winged Hero's dealings. The thought of killing Hawks to preserve the plan entered his mind, but Dabi suppressed it. "Paranoia is a pain in the ass." He said.

The girl in the white dress chuckled as she overheard him. "You sound like one of my students." She said in-between soft  almost angelic chuckles. Dabi turned to face her instantly, recognizing the face that he hadn't seen in years. Out of all the people on the planet, she was the absolute worst person who could have been here as she looked at his masked face.

"What?" Was all he could mutter as memories of his childhood flashed before him. All the times he and his sister Fuyumi bad bonded over the abuse they both suffered at their father's hand began to replay. The nights where they just talked about their dreams and how their father would one day change for the better. He had to admit he was proud she had become a teacher, but now that she was here, she was the biggest possible liability.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to easedrop you just  seemed well familiar, and then again, you are wearing a mask." She said with a warm smile that he hadn't seen in years. All for a random man who was clearly going to rob the bank, it made him wonder if she was a plant for Endeavor or one of his employees. He hoped Fuyumi would never work for that man, but you never knew with people.

"It's whatever." Dabi said, trying to keep calm around his sister.

Fuyumi shook her head and smiled. "I work for the Illumina City school department, You know I can tell when a whatever is an issue." She seemed to be happy but in between the words she spoke, Dabi could feel her sadness.

"So you come to bank on your break or is it some sort of holiday." Dabi asked, doing his best to hide his curiosity concerning the whereabouts of his sister.

"Well let's just say the life of a teacher isn't all that glamorous, and my father isn't the most." Her voice seemed to trail off as she looked at the floor. Her face, which seemed to radiate happiness, flickered like a dying flame

"Fathers are overrated." Dabi remarked, causing Fuyumi to chuckle.

"Over-rated, I see." She teased separating the word as she spoke.

The line moved forward, and Dabi considered everything and the plan. Fuyumi was his sister, his flesh and blood, but that same family, that same flesh and blood had left him and moved on. He knew if she stayed behind him in line, she could very well end up dead. It would be easy, and with no way to trace him to her murder Endeavor would search like a helpless dog to find the one who killed his daughter. It wouldn't be the perfect revenge, but it would be fun to poke a hole in his father's so-called perfect life.

Yet as he looked into Fuyumi's eyes, he realized that he wasn't the type of person who could kill his sister. His brother Shoto was definitely on the kill list, but Fuyumi, she wasn't like the others. She wasn't cold and distant like their mother or abusive like their father or useless like Natsuo.

"You can take the spot in front of me if you want." Dabi said casually, stepping aside as Fuyumi blushed. Her heart racing for this stranger, the feelings inside of her felt so intense and confusing like a rollar coaster of emotions that rocked her to the core.

"My masked hero." She said with a smile as she brushed gently against Dabi's suit.

Dabi seemed cool on the surface, but inside, he was panicking. He knew that Fuyumi was his sister but she didn't and while he had done plenty of messed up things including mass murder and a metric ton of arson that would make an insurance agent soil their pants this wasn't something he would entertain. If it wasn't for the heist he would have left the bank but he had a job to do and as the line moved forward the idle chat between him and Fuyumi kept his thoughts away from Hawks and Izuku who were doing their part of the plan as the line moved forward.
