Chapter Nineteen
...Hawks and Izuku could feel Dabi fighting someone, the heat was noticeable even below the floor Dabi had faced his hero foe on. Coupled with the shaking and Dabi's appearance, it meant that the plan had gone off course.
"What the hell happened up there." Hawks asked. He knew about the hero protocol better than even Izuku. He could feel the banks imminent collapse, and he knew that heroes would certainly be inbound. While he was one of the faster heroes, he wasn't the absolute fastest. Even in a relatively remote location like Illumina City, it wasn't that far away if one was dedicated enough.
Dabi didn't seem too tired, but he had a few wounds that didn't seem too serious. "I killed some hero brat, he let the hostages escape, and now we have to go to the backup plan." Dabi explained with a tone of sharp annoyance.
"Do you think the plan is just a suggestion?" Hawks yelled, his fear clearly genuine. "This is a terror attack now that the banks are going down, even with the service Tunnels. There is going to lock down Illumina and ID everyone." Hawks wings flapped up and down, and even the vault is now being open couldn't soothe the worry and anxiety that had overtaken him.
Dabi pointed up towards the ceiling. "We have time before they lock down the city, we may not have a lot of time, but we have some time that we needed to capitalize on the moment." He smiled as he walked in between Izuku and Hawks. "This vault is the accumulated result of our plans, just finish the job and enjoy the rewards." Dabi said with a smile knowing it would draw out more of what Hawks truly thought.
"This isn't about money, it's a test." Hawks snarled through his teeth his wings were folded aggressively behind his back. "This whole situation is a test for you to see if I'm truly loyal, well I am loyal, and you've seen that." Hawks said his composure gone. It faded into the wind as he felt something behind him. Something or rather someone had followed Dabi into the depths of the bank.
"Pro Hero Hawks robbing a bank." The words were soft yet sinister. The voice was reminiscent of a demon who sought the soul of an innocent victim. "What a travesty, what an abusive of power." The mockery in the voices tone caused Hawks to raise his wings in preparation for defensive action.
Izuku turned to see the hunched over man, his red, almost demonic eyes were covered by a mask while his nose was missing, the Hollow hole seemed to be an infinite abyss of darkness. He gave off an aura of malicious bloodlust that made Izuku feel as helpless as a deer locked inside a snipers scope.
"You two don't seem like heroes, yet you're parading one around with your little heist." The demonic man continued his voice filled with calm superiority.
Dabi considered killing the man, but he had never felt this much bloodlust coming from someone who wasn't himself. He had to admit he was impressed with the man. Despite Hawks being the perfect mole for the job even he didn't interest Dabi to the same degree.
"This little heist is none of your concern, civilian." Dabi said, placing a deep and powerful emphasis on civilian. Despite his bloodlust, the man wasn't a recognized figure, he was a nobody, and therefore, he was nothing but a mere civilian. It was a warning and a threat to back off before Dabi had to act. That being said, Dabi planned on burning the intruder to a crisp anyway.
Hawk's feathers shook as his eyes seem to go wide with terror. "You idiot that's the hero killer." Hawks said shakily. He could tell from the sheer force of his killing intent.
"Hero Killer, so you witnessed my work Hawks." The Hero Killer said, not paying any mind to Dabi or his threats. Suneater would have been killed faster if he had faced the hero killer. From that alone, any fear of the blue flame user became non-existent.
Hawks stepped back, which prompted the Hero Killer to decapitate Hawks with a single strike. "Sorry about that, I needed to kill him, a top ten hero committing crimes well that's just unacceptable." The Hero Killer said with an eager grin.
Dabi ignited his hand as Hawk's body hit the floor. Singlehandedly, the Hero Killer had ruined all of his plans in literally a single stroke of his sword. He was going to attack the Hero Killer and smite him with his powerful blue flames.
Izuku walked in between the two and caused Dabi to halt his flames. He was surprised, but he could feel Izuku’s confidence as he looked Stain in the eyes. "Take his place." Izuku said coldly.
"Why would I do that." Stain asked his heading, twisting to one side in order to mock Izuku. The haunting face seemed to grow even more grotesque as time went forward.
"You are the hero killer. I don't know your reasons, and I probably wouldn't understand them, but I promise a shot at Endeavor." Izuku explained his hand outstretched. "Take his place, and I promise you all the heroes you can kill."
