James POV:

"I wonder who is gonna win the Quidditch World Cup this year?" Sirius inquires as he stares at the ceiling. Personally, I was hoping that it would be Ireland, but I know that Sirius has always wanted Spain to win. So I decided to keep quiet to not start an argument.

"Did you hear me?" Sirius asks loudly. I roll my eyes and look at him sternly. "What!?"

"I did not respond on purpose. I am trying not to argue." I say a lot more meaner than I had intended. Sirius looks at me a little hurt.

"Since when are you trying to avoid fights?" he asks, still a little offended.

" I don't know, I guess since now.'' I replied casually.

"Ugh, you're so boring, you used to fun to hang around but now you're boring.'' Sirius complained.

"And you're a big baby.'' I insult him.

"At least I'm not trying to impress anyone with good behavior!"

"Who do you think I am trying to impress!?"

"Oh, I dunno, maybe EVANS!"

"What do you know about impressing people? All you do is sit on your lazy butt and complain about things!?"

"DON'T CALL ME LAZY!!" Sirius roars at me.

"OH YEAH? HOW ABOUT STUPID? IS THAT BETTER!? YOU ARE INSUFFERABLE SOMETIMES! NO WONDER YOUR PARENTS KICKED YOU OUT!!!" I roar back. I stop talking and my heart sinks, Sirius just glares at me until there is an awkward silence.

"I'm sorry, I should not have said that." I apologize calmly and sincerely. But I know that I would need more than an apology to make up for it.

"You're going to need more than an apology." Sirius says coldly. I hang my head and look down at the floor.

"I know." We sit there for a few minutes in complete silence. I stew over how I can make it up to him.

"So, who are you hoping will win the tournament?" Sirius asks calmly. I smile, glad that he has moved on from our argument. I choose my next words carefully so that I don't upset him.

"As happy as I would be to see Ireland win, I think this year, I am going to put my money on Spain." I answered slowly. Sirius's face lights up at my answer and I know that I said the right thing.

"Really!? Me too! I have always wanted Spain to win!" he exclaims excitedly. For the next half hour we talk about quidditch until Remus and Peter arrive. Everyone is staying at my house leading up to the Quidditch World Cup.

"Let's find something to do," Sirius suggests randomly. "I'm bored." I rolled my eyes, he was always bored.

"You're always bored." Remus says in an irritated tone.

"I wish it was a full moon." Sirius says. " We always have fun during a full moon."

"You think it's fun." Remus says darkly. "Try the painful transformation, then come back and tell me how fun it is."

"Sorry, i forgot.'' Sirius attempts to apologize, but Remus refuses to look at him.

"How about we play quidditch in the backyard?" Peter pipes up. We all exchange excited glances at this suggestion.

"Sure, but we don't have seven people.'' Sirius says slowly. We all sit there, trying to come up with a solution.

"Well, we don't need the seekers' position, and I don't think we need to break our bones with the bludgers. Maybe we could just take turns shooting with the quaffle." I suggest thoughtfully.
