Lily POV:
I walk around camp, taking in all of the sights, sounds, and smells. There was so much to do here and I couldn't decide what to do first. Alice had found Frank and they ran off to go find some ice cream, so I was left to entertain myself. I didn't mind though, it allowed me to explore at my own pace. The weather is warm here in France and the air smelled of sweet flowers. A large amount of the people here are French and I am not surprised. After purchasing a lolly, I wander around, trying to decide what to do next. I look to my left to see a magical creatures petting zoo with free unicorn rides. I smile as I watch young children run up to the unicorns. I look to my right to see a souvenir stand. I decided that my parents would appreciate a souvenir, so I walked over to see what was available. Personally, I wanted Scotland to win so I looked for Scottish souvenirs. I settled on a Scotland flag and some noise makers. I was about to walk over to the counter to purchase my things when I heard a voice behind me.
"Fancy seeing you here Evans!" I turned around to see James with a pleasantly surprised look on his face. I smile as I greet him.
"Oh, hello James, you didn't think that I would come to the greatest magical event of the year?" I tease as I repeat the slogan from all of the posters.
"Well, I must admit, I am quite surprised." he says with a laugh. "Who are you cheering for?"
"Scotland.'' I answer. "What about you?" James pauses and looks over his shoulder, checking that someone isn't there. He leans down to get closer to my ear.
"I want Ireland to win, but Sirius thinks that I want Spain to win." he answers quietly.
"Oh, I see, too scared to disappoint Sirius. Makes sense, he is kind of grumpy when he doesn't get his way.'' I tease. James laughs.
"What you got there in your hands?" he asks, pointing to the things in my arms.
"Oh, just some souvenirs for my parents, they are muggles and couldn't come, so i figured that they would like something.'' I answer as I hold up one of the objects.
"Ah, I see, that's very kind of you." James says sweetly. He looks at me and then at the objects in my hands, then his face lights up. "Here, let me pay for those!" he says enthusiastically, as he rushes to the counter. I try to abject as he pulls out some coins.
"No, James, I'm not long to let you do that." I protest. But he puts the coins on the counter.
"I'm paying for her things," he tells the cashier. "Don't let her pay."
"You stupid dirt cloud!" I yelled at him. "I can pay for my own things!" I say as I hit him in the ribs. He lets out a little yelp and grabs his ribs quickly.
"Ouch!" he says with a grimace on his face. I stop fighting and become concerned.
"Sorry, are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine, I just broke my rib a few days ago and I haven't completely recovered." he answers in a pained tone.
"What happened?" I asked curiously.
"Sirius threw a quaffle at me." he answers simply, still holding his ribs.
"What did you do to deserve it?"
"What makes you think that I deserved it!?" he asks sharply.
"Your James Potter, you deserve every bit of punishment.'' I say, slightly serious. James just looks at me with a blank stare.
"I was mocking his quidditch skills." he admits sheepishly while messing with his hair. I just smirk.
"See, you did deserve it, you dolt."
