~Guys lets hope our Gyu's foot gets better. Get Well Soon Beomgyu<33~
-Start of Chapter 33-
I stumble through the front door, kicking off my shoes with a groan. Today has been one of those days. The café was packed from morning till evening, with customers lining up for their caffeine fix and pastries. I had to juggle everything—taking orders, managing the staff, and even fixing the espresso machine when it decided to malfunction during the morning rush.
"Ugh, why can't people just learn to make coffee at home?" I mutter, tossing my apron onto the table. I slump into the sofa, feeling the exhaustion seep into my bones. "If one more person asks for a complicated custom order, I might just break the espresso machine myself."
I stretch out, feeling the relief of finally being off my feet. My eyes start to droop when the doorbell rings. I groan again, louder this time. "Of course, the universe won't let me rest."
Dragging myself off the couch, I stomp to the door, too frustrated to even check the peephole. I fling the door open, ready to glare at whoever dares disturb my peace. But the words die on my lips as I freeze, my blood turning to ice.
...no... it can't be... after almost 10 years...
Standing on the doorstep is my father.
The man I had hoped to never see again.
"Park Y/N... he says, his voice dripping with menace. "It's been a while... Where's the other brat?" he spits out
I stop breathing for a second, trying to process the fear and anger flooding my system. "Don't you dare call my brother that!" I manage to choke out.
"He's my son. I get to call him whatever I want!" He steps into the house and I take a step back.
"No... we don't have any parents... Seojun is no one's son. Only my brother."
He looks around, a bitter chuckle escaping his lips, "Oh its a nice how you got here... You live with someone?"
"What do you want?"
He steps closer, his presence suffocating. "I need money. And you're going to give it to me."
My heart races. "I-I don't have any money to give you."
His eyes narrow, and he takes another step forward, forcing me to back up. "Don't lie to me. I know you've got money saved up. And if you don't give it to me..." He lets the threat hang in the air, but I know exactly what he's implying.
"H-How did you find me?" I stutter, trying to keep the panic out of my voice.
He chuckles darkly. "I have my ways... I told you before... 10 years ago... you can never escape me."
A cold shiver runs down my spine. "Get out." I say, trying to sound firm, but my voice shakes. "You're not welcome here."
He ignores me, walking further into my apartment. The sight of him invading my space makes my skin crawl. "You always were stubborn." he says with a sneer. "But you'll see things my way. You always do."
I feel a surge of anger. This is my home. My life. And I won't let him ruin it again. "I'm not a child anymore. You can't control me."
He turns, his expression darkening. "Don't test me, Y/N. You know what I'm capable of."
My mind races, trying to figure out a way to get him out without provoking him further. I need to stay calm, think clearly. I take a deep breath, meeting his gaze. "Leave now, or I'll call the police."
