CHAPTER two

"i'm having bare fun, you know." Jayda yelled out, as the volume of the music was much louder than their voices.

"that's good." Skreamer smiled at her, ruffling her hair with the hand that was still on her shoulder.

"i see youu." Tiny giggled at Jada and Skreamz, all while his arms were around a girl.

the pair laughed joyfully, when Gianna came up to them with a worried expression on her face. "the Sixer boys are here." she referred, as the Towerboys began listening in on her words. "they're saying that if you don't go outside, they're gonna come inside."

with that, the house started to quieten, and Jaxon approached the group in case worried for his friends Tiny rushed to the window, while Skreamer removed his arm from Jayda and told the DJ to shut up.

people could be heard from outside of the house, yelling insults and provocations to get them to come fight.

"there's a bagga of them." Tiny concluded, as he and Skreamer returned back to the group.

"ay Taze, there are too many of them, my bro." Skreamer shook his head, "i'm just saying we wait here till the rest of the mandem come."

Jayda looked at Jaxon and he just shrugged, not knowing how to comfort his little sister when he usually did so.

"oi!" a voice yelled, following after a loud banging on the door. "come out!"

"Tazer i'm gonna cut a fucking six on your forehead, you know?" Chucky threatened, while Tazer remained calm and unbothered. "you're nothing like Krazy, you're a fucking pussy."

after that comment, something clicked inside of Tazer, as he shot his face towards the direction of the voice.

"Taze, don't let man draw you out."

"and lemme' chat to yo bitch Jayda too, heard she in there." Chucky laughed, as many other positive, but negative comments about the girl came flying from the mouths of the people.

"what the fuck?" Jayda scoffed and looked towards Veronica, who knew this was all because of her.

hearing the final comment, Jayda wasn't the only one bothered by it.

meanwhile, Tazer knew that the comments they yelled out were just to provoke him, but unfortunately, they worked when they mentioned her. kissing his teeth, Tazer shook his head and began walking out, earning a protesting shout by the boys. the Towerboys sighed, but followed after him alongside Jaxon.

"Tayo!" Jayda called out for him, afraid of whatever could happen. they were at a large disadvantage, the Sixers had way more people, and they were definitely all armed.

even if calling out his name seemed like something reasonable to do for others, it was actually difficult for her to even look at to him after the things that were said during the last time they had spoken.

if it wasn't for the situation and what he was feeling inside of him, Tazer would've actually stopped in his tracks and returned back to her-but he continued on and reached a hand in his pants.

and Jayda didn't expect him to turn around to her either, yet there was still a trace of hope that was left.

when they opened the door, the Sixers were already walking away, when one of them yelled that Tazer had come out.

"ay, look, my man come out the house!" one of them announced, as the Sixers made their way back once again.

Jayda and a few people walked and stayed to watch right outside the door, scared of getting involved in whatever they were doing. it was impossible for the Towerboys to take them on, not all of them were carrying, and now it was clear how few they were when they stood in a line in front of them.

"Taze, man, let's cut!" Tiny yelled out, but it sounded more like a plead. "let's cut!"

Tazer ignored everyone's voices, yet it seemed like his head just listened to one voice only.

"you lot are so stupid, fucking cut!"

and the voice caused his distraction, his eyes fogged up as somebody threw a glass bottle at him, shattering upon impact. taking advantage of his vulnerability, Chucky leaned in and took a swing with his knife towards his stomach, managing to get him where the jacket didn't cover.

it all happened so fast, the moment just passing as quick as a bat of an eye.

"Tazer got stabbed!"

"ayo, that's fucked!"

Jayda's eyes watched while her brother and the other boys ran away, as fast as they possibly could before the police arrived to the scene. she didn't know what to do, and the sight of Taser just lying down on the concrete street groaning in pain did no good for her whatsoever.

and the fact that she was drunk and high, made nothing better but worsen the situation. the sound of the police sirens rang through her ears, girls yelling in fear, and the gang-affiliated running in all sorts of directions.

releasing her from her thoughts, someone shoved right past her, almost making her fall over.

"you're blocking the way."

she turned her head and it was Veronica, with a friend of hers that was actually to nice to be with a girl like her.

Jayda ignored her, and rolled her eyes, not feeling well enough to be fighting with someone she already beaten countless of times.

Veronica noticed her unease demeanour, and chuckled-looking back and forth between her, and the bleeding Taser.

"he got it coming, innit?" the girl laughed, expecting some sort of reaction from the Alana girl. "just like your mum."

and a reaction she definitely received, when Jade laughed with her.

Veronica stopped laughing and looked at the girl in confusion, wondering why she was smiling about what she said.

still not feeling sober from the things she consumed that night, Jayda suddenly felt the rush of confidence she was feeling earlier.

"you think you're funny, yeah?" Jayda turned to Veronica and inched closer, looking at her up and down.

"mentioning my mum is fun for you, yeah?" this time, the Alana girl used both her hands to push her, causing her to almost fall backwards.

"yeah, and what?" Veronica snapped, also pushing Jada away like she did to her. "it was your fault she died, anyways."

with that, Jada kissed her teeth, and shook her head and the things she just heard.

it was exactly true what Veronica said, since her and Jaxon's mother had died after giving birth to her, due to complications right after. but that was something Jada already understood on her own basis, and she surely didn't need to hear it from a girl that didn't know the whole story.

a loud noise came right after, as Veronica's body went stumbling on the floor.
