CHAPTER seven

shaking her head, Jayda harshly punched the floor near him, and took out her phone to call the ambulance. her hands trembling and her voice croaky, she immediately told the receiver everything that was happening: that he was stabbed and was losing blood from his upper chest continuously.

the nurse had already sent out an emergency ambulance, when she tried to get Jayda to help about the situation.

"listen to me love, why don't you grab a piece of clothing and put it on his wound?" the worker suggested, her tone sounding concerned and helpful. the Alana girl did exactly as she was told to, and took of her hoodie and placed it on the wound, covering it tightly so she could at least try to stop the bleeding.

"i did it." Jayda breathed out, speaking towards her phone that was on Jaxon's stomach facing up. "now what?"

"the paramedics are on their way, you did a good job dear."

the voice somehow managed to reassure her of some little hope she had left, as the sound of the ambulance sires began ringing in her head, signalling that they had arrived.

when she looked down to the floor, she noticed the spot where she punched earlier: a hole was there. it was exactly the shape of her hand, like she put her hand into wax and left it.

Jayda turned around when she saw that they immediately took out the transportable carrier, and told the workers that he had been stabbed not long ago, and that he was losing an extreme amount of blood. but there was no need for the explanation since the puddle of blood underneath his unconscious body was enough for them to know.

they quickly put him in the ambulance, while ushering for her to enter as well, seeing that they were clearly related between them. they closed the doors as the van sounded the sirens again, immediately going back to the hospital as they tried their to patch him with what little they had in the moment.

tears came falling on Jayda's face once more when they injected stuff into him, and placed a breathing mask on his nose and mouth. feeling confused about everything, the girl inspected her fist once more, and she had no bruise on it whatsoever. there were only a couple of bruises from when she had punched Veronica's skull, but after punching the literal ground—there was nothing new on her hand.

then a paramedic seemed to be taken aback when she took off the girl's hoodie from the wound, and placed it onto the floor, her eyebrows furrowing as she observed the wound with her gloves. "the bleeding completely stopped." she examined, making the other two paramedics stop and also observe in confusion.

one of them lifted up their head towards Jayda, their eyes softening when they saw her figure. "how long ago did he get stabbed?"

the girl shook her head, shrugging her shoulders while tears still ran down her cheek. "ten minutes, maybe." Jayda referred, causing the workers to look at each other questionably. "why, what happened?"

"and when did you put this hoodie on him?" the worker asked, ignoring her question.

"i don't know, like two minutes ago..." she answered, not knowing where they were going with it.

the paramedics could be heard muttering between each other, then finally got to remove his shirt so they could patch him up.

it was definitely a record for her, but two people injured in the hospital in a week was not good for her mental health. Jayda lifted her head when she noticed a nurse come in the room, with a few syringes ready to dose her brother with more drugs.

"you need some food?" Jayda proposed, but he just shook his head, unable to speak.

she seemed familiar but the girl couldn't quite pinpoint where she saw her exactly, so she shrugged and watched as the nurse quickly flicked the syringe and insert the liquid into a tube that connected to his body. she smiled at her, before the nurse exited the room to care for another patient, when familiar figures came walking in.

"what did the doctors say?" Tazer questioned, as the others formed a sort of line around Jaxon's bed.

"that he healed pretty quickly after being stabbed," she explained, looking at the man. "should be out tomorrow."

the group talked and joked to him a bit, in attempt to lighten his mood, but he just couldn't laugh or speak.

"Chucky's is in the hospital too." Tiny said to Jayda, who he thought might wanted to know the information. "Tazer sta—" he was about to continue, when Skreamer nudged him with his shoulder, shushing him in the meantime.

"good, fuck that guy." Jayda exclaimed, nodding her head at the boys, which made them chuckle at her. "who chinged him?"

silence filled the room upon her question, as they looked at each other awaiting for a response to give her. they relaxed in their spot when Tazer muttered; "i did it."

the Alana girl quickly turned her head to him, an un-readable expression plastered on her face while the boys already sensed something about to explode.

the way Jayda looked at him, made him want to bury himself as he simply understood everything she wanted to say to him with just a disgusted stare. he knew that she hated the fact he was the second-in-command after Krazy, and to even follow after a few of his steps was something absolutely ridiculous and embarrassing to do.

Jayda nodded her head towards outside the door, as Tazer and her exited while the group talked to Jaxon to keep him company.

it was funny how they always and only spoke seriously at the hospital, whenever someone got injured; and it hurt deep down knowing that what got them even talking to each other was when someone's blood was spilled.
