Sumire arrived at the Uchiha house and marveled at Sarada's house, which was massive.
Sarada still lived with her parents. Despite her plans to move out soon and start her own life, she could not bear the thought of being separated from her family. They were extremely important to her, and she adored them both.
Nonetheless, she maintained the desire to move out as soon as possible.
"You will be with me until the summer ends! You are lucky; at least you are not with him..." Sarada said as the last few words faded into a whisper.
Sumire laughed and grabbed her belongings as they entered the house and her room for the time being.
The room was large. It had its own bathroom, and a large closet, and felt almost like a master bedroom, despite the fact that it was only an ordinary room.
Boruto walked in and placed Sumire's last remaining bags, who was only impressed by how large the room was.
He looked at her, perplexed, but quickly initiated a conversation.
"So, Sumire! I know you just arrived, but I was wondering if you would like to stop by my house and do a mini-check-up on Himawari. She has been sick for the past few days, and I'm wondering if she's starting to feel any better." He spoke while fidgeting with his fingers.
Sumire turned around and looked at him with surprise.
However, she could never refuse such a request, especially since it was from Himawari. She quickly nodded her head in response. "Oh, of course! I can go check on her on Wednesday!" (two days from their current time)
Boruto smiled and clapped his hands in response. "Great! I will see you then; do not have too much fun without me, you two!" He added as he winked at Sarada and Sumire.
Sumire's cheeks flushed at his expression, but she waved him goodbye to avoid being disrespectful. Sumire sighed loudly as he left and turned to Sarada, angry.
"Sarada, why did you not tell me he was coming!?" Sumire spoke with pouted lips.
She chuckled at Sumire's reaction and simply lifted her shoulders. "Forgot to. But Sumire, I assumed you were over him? What happened to, "He is no longer my type," hmm?" Sarada mocked, then approached her face and waited for her reaction.
Sumire stepped back, ashamed, and looked away. Sarada was correct; Sumire stated that Boruto was no longer her type, and she no longer loved him in that way.
She can not help but be drawn to him. Even though she knows he truly loves Sarada, not her.
When Sumire learned that Boruto had a crush on Sarada, her world fell apart. Although they had better chemistry and knew each other better, Sumire wished he loved her.
Instead, he fell in love with her best friend.
Sumire only smiled in response to Sarada's previous statement. Sumire, on the other hand, knew she was not going to take anything away from Sarada and Boruto, and would instead watch from a distance as they accept their feelings for each other.
Although it will hurt Sumire, she knows better than to force him to love her.
"Don't worry, I am..." Sumire finally responded as she turned around and started unpacking her luggage.
Sarada stared at her, dumbfounded by her response, but only sighed as she began to walk away. She stopped to stand at her doorway and looked back at her. "Well, if you need anything, you know where I am," Sarada said, turning back to close the door behind her.
Leaving Sumire alone in her room, she started putting everything in the closet and organizing her belongings.
When she was finished, she flopped onto her bed and sighed as her face remained glued to the sheets.
She raised her head once more, grabbed her phone, and looked at the lock screen. In particular, the date.
Sumire contemplated going to Boruto's home on Wednesday.
She furrowed her brow and quickly changed her mind. "I am not going for Boruto anymore, but for Himawari. She needs me, and I will not disappoint her!" Sumire thought to herself with confidence.
A grin spread across her face, and she sat on the edge of the bed, looking up at the ceiling, lost in thought.
"For Himawari..." She repeated aloud.
Sumire began to feel better about herself and more confident that she could succeed without disappointing them both!
Not disappointing Boruto by canceling, and not disappointing Himawari by being unable to assist her.
Summer had arrived, and that meant it was her season of change! Making new goals and overcoming new challenges, this was an ideal opportunity for her.
And who knows, she might even fall in love with someone else during the process.
