Kawaki pushed the creepy man off of her and threw him against the wall, delivering hard punches to his face. Sumire watched as he did so, traumatized by the events unfolding before her.

The man's face was bloody and now distorted. Many injuries were caused by just a few punches. As for Kawaki, he did not give a damn and kept punching away.

Sumire got back on her feet, but she ended up falling against the wall and sliding down until she hit the floor again.

Eyes wide, trembling body.

The man finally collapsed to the ground, gasping heavily. Kawaki looked down at him, breathing heavily as he grabbed his hair and whispered into his ear, "Don't touch my fucking girlfriend again, understood?"

He nodded his head, terrified and hurt by what had happened. Kawaki let go of him and watched him crawl away.

Kawaki chuckled at his state and looked down at his bloodied knuckles. Turning to find a cloth, he spotted one by a trash can. Grabbing it, he cleaned his hands and threw it back.

Turning to Sumire, he quickly came to her aid and untied her hands. "Hey, are you okay?" he asked gently as he examined her for injuries.

Sumire cried and shook as she looked down at the ground. Kawaki gently caressed her as he attempted to comfort her.

He was never particularly good at comforting people. However, seeing Sumire in such a state, he could not help but try for her sake.

"Um, let's go back to my house... I can get you fixed up, and uh... We could go out for a movie later," he said, hoping to make her feel better about what she had just gone through.

She nodded slowly and stood up slowly as she examined the blood in front of her. Kawaki followed her gaze and stood in front of her, preventing her from seeing.

"Don't worry, I'm here so he won't come back," he said softly as he grabbed her bag, heading to the end of the alleyway and rubbing her back softly.

Kawaki returned his gaze to the alleyway, narrowing his eyes as he observed the man talking on the phone with someone.

A strange feeling began to circulate through his gut. A feeling that he wished wasn't there.

These streets were safe, yet that just happened to Sumire. Only a crazy person would pull such a stunt, and the only person that came to mind was Eida.

Sumire sat on his bed, staring shyly at the floor. Kawaki decided to go out and get some snacks and medicine for her but insisted she stay in his room until then.

"When did he start being so considerate of people?" She wondered, fidgeting with her fingers.

Looking up, she looked around his room, slightly amazed at how it was decorated. Posters were hung all over his walls, and he had a small card collection. She chuckled and decided to get up to check everything else more carefully.

Still feeling shaky from earlier, she reminded herself that she was in the safest place yet—the Uzumaki estate.

She noticed that he had a CD player and a few albums. In addition, his floor was stacked with video games.

Crouching, she observed them and read their names. A small smile spread across her face as she stood up.

When she turned around, she saw his desk. On it was a notebook. Sumire was not the type to snoop through other people's belongings, but it was practically calling out for her to open!

Nevertheless, she resisted and read the cover instead.

Walking over to the desk, she touched the cover and looked at everything. Piles of paper, pens, and pencils. His desk was slightly scratched and already battered.

There were also some bandages and tissues.

Looking back at the book, she only inspected it. There was no text on the front. Just a plain navy book that appeared to be in poor condition.

Her hand moved to reach for it, but she quickly stopped herself. She pulled her arm back, slapped her cheek, and turned around to snap out of it.

"Get a hold of yourself, Sumire!" She whispered to herself, "That could be someone's diary..."

Looking back, she figured one page wouldn't hurt.

She sighed and opened to a random page.

To her surprise, there was nothing. Sumire picked it up and flipped through the blank pages, unfazed. "Tch should have known," she said, slightly annoyed now.

Turning to one page, she noticed a few words written there, which surprised her slightly. The only words were "Park... 6:25."

There was no date, only a word and time. Sumire assumed it was some kind of code, so she thought hard.

Expect, nothing came to mind. "What the hell?" she thought to herself as she flipped through more of the blank pages, hoping to find more.

Stumbling upon another page, it had the words "Eida was here!" with a smiley face.

Sumire's face dropped.

The date read August 16th, 2018. Three months later, they split up.

"Maybe the previous message was a reminder for a date or something..." Sumire thought.

Sumire suddenly had an unusual feeling about it. She never felt anything like this before. Sadness, anger.

She could not explain why, but her grip on the notebook tightened, and she began to grit her teeth at the thought of it.

From downstairs, she could hear a door slam shut. Immediately, Sumire snapped out of it and closed the notebook tiptoeing back to his bed in an attempt to not make a sound.

Once she met the soft mattress, she recalled all those memories of Kawaki and Eida. "Exactly, what happened between the two of them?" She pondered as she gripped his bedsheets.

Sumire could not help but feel a twinge of jealousy in the back of her mind now that she thought about it.
