Stretching her arms, Sumire and Sarada quickly go to work on loading up the car for the beach. Sumire was surprised at how quickly Sarada agreed to this plan. Normally, she would not go, especially since it was unexpected.

Nonetheless, Sumire could care less because the plan was on track. Sarada already going was a big success. And who knows, all of these other plans may also succeed!

When they had finished loading, they both jumped in and began driving to Boruto's. "I'm so excited!" Sumire exclaimed.

Sarada smiled and responded with the same enthusiasm. "Yeah! It is been a while since we hung out like this. I wonder what Boruto has up his sleeve..."

Sumire chuckled. Without realizing it, they had already arrived at Boruto's. Sumire noticed a few bags outside his gate through her window.

When his front door opened, she saw Kawaki exit with a few more bags. Boruto stood behind him, already dressed in sunglasses and swim trunks.

Sarada looked at them, perplexed. "Wow, never thought Kawaki would tag along..." Sarada replied, surprised.

Sumire looked at Kawaki, surprised. His hair was slightly longer than it had been in his genin days, and he was noticeably taller. He also had several more piercings and tattoos on his arms.

Sarada's yelling at her to help them startled her, so she quickly got out and rubbed her forehead to help with her random zoning out.

When she stepped out, the first person she saw was Kawaki. Slightly blushing by his appearance, she rubbed it off and immediately helped out.

Boruto gave her a brighter smile. "Sumire! I hope you are ready for today; we are going to have a great time!" He yelled as he grabbed the bags from her hands.

She agreed and smiled. "Yeah, I am very excited," she replied. When she turned around to get the rest of the bags, she dumped into Kawaki.

Quickly apologizing, he coldly shoved her and put the remaining bags in the trunk. Sumire looked down at the ground, annoyed, but rubbed it away.

When she noticed he had taken the last bags, she went to grab her belongings from the front seat and move them to the back. Since this was more for Boruto and Sarada, she decided to give him the passenger seat.

When she got on, she noticed Kawaki was already sitting inside. When they made eye contact, it felt like something permanent. She had never had the opportunity to fully examine his face before, but now she realizes how handsome Kawaki was.

He quickly looked away, irritated. Sumire blushed from her long stare and sat down away from him. Once Sarada and Boruto arrived, they were the only ones who began talking.

Kawaki or Sumire would occasionally join the conversation, but Sarada and Boruto were the ones who spoke most frequently.

Throughout the whole ride, the other two remained silent.

Sumire only wished it would not be this awkward throughout the trip.

-

When they arrived at their hotel, Boruto handed everyone their room keys and gave Sumire a quick glance, which she already knew.

She was sharing a room with Kawaki.

They remained silent as they followed Kawaki. When they arrived at their room, Kawaki finally broke the silence by dropping his bags on the floor.

"So you are back to being my nurse. Well, that's what Boruto told me, and Naruto..." he said slightly annoyed.

Sumire nodded and gave a nervous chuckle. It is been a long time since they were alone like this. And now they are sleeping in the same room.

"Y-Yeah! Listen, if you are uncomfortable-" Kawaki abruptly cut her off. He jumped onto his bed and asked her to give him a painkiller.

She chose to comply rather than argue, taken aback by the demanding request. "Right," was her only response as she reached for a needle.

As he extended his arm for her, she looked for a suitable location to place it. She felt his muscles and noticed how much more muscular he had become since they had been apart.

She concentrated while inserting the needle, thinking about him. "He must have had some hellish training... There are some scars on his arms."

Finally, she removed the needle, capped it, and moved away to dispose of it. As he stood up, he only looked at her figure.

She was slimmer and slightly taller than in their previous encounter. Not to mention that her hair was longer than usual.

"You grew out your hair?" he inquired. Sumire, surprised by how much he noticed, could not help but smile. "Yeah! I am also planning to curl it soon..." She replied gently.

Kawaki hummed in response. Lying back down on his bed, he could already picture their awkwardness and silence.

Groaning, he rose from his bed and approached her.

When she felt his presence behind her, she looked up at him in surprise. "K-Kawaki?" She stuttered while trying to figure out what he was doing.

"So, I assume you are helping Boruto. Am I right?" He asked, leaning against the wall next to her.

Sumire's eyes widened at his statement. Just how did he know? It was something that only Boruto and Sumire knew about.

Turning to meet his gaze, he could tell by her expression that he was correct. "I overheard your conversation yesterday. Honestly, he couldn't be any louder.." Kawaki added.

Sumire flushed. "I-I... Yes, I am..." She finally admitted.

A chuckle escaped from his lips. "You do realize that if I didn't come along, you would've looked like such a loner and embarrassing third-wheeler."

"Wait, was the reason you came along... So you will not let me be one?" She questioned.

He shook his head. "Well, that's part of it. Another thing is that I am not allowed to leave your side. Since you agreed to be my nurse again, I can not be far away from you." He responded.

Kawaki began to groan in irritation as he considered it. Always by her side. Although she was not too much of a bother, he would rather be with someone else, especially since she was slightly quiet.

"I-I see..." she finally said.

"Listen, try not to piss me off. You know the rules," Kawaki said as he walked back to his bed and gave her a final look.

Her cheeks turned pink from his slight smirk. "Listen, if I end up doing anything, just don't mention it."

She chose not to inquire about his statement due to her confusion. "What did he mean by that?" she wondered, instead throwing the entire needle away.

Walking back to her bags, she unpacked everything as Kawaki scrolled through his phone, bored.

Who knows what he meant? But, whatever it meant, thinking about it was probably not a good idea-Especially since it was from him.
