A week at the beach had already passed. And for Sumire, she wished it was something that ended days ago!

Although she has agreed to help Boruto out, she still can't help but feel upset when she sees how hard he's trying to gain her love and trust.

Everywhere she goes, it's like she's being forced to watch their every interaction. Still, she chooses to cast her feelings aside and hope that the relationship does succeed.

It was their last night at the beach, and they had decided on going to a bar for the time being. Sumire sat at a table drinking a cocktail as she watched Boruto and Sarada play in the sand.

Holding in her tears, only one escaped along with a sniffle. Kawaki, who was sitting across from her tried his best to ignore the crying girl but couldn't help to comment on it.

"Are you seriously crying?" Kawaki said as he drinked his beer.

Her eyes widened and she turned around to face him as she wiped her tears quickly. When she did, he was already looking at her with his same annoyed expression.

Every time she saw that expression of his, she felt like smacking it right out of him! "N-No! I was only happy for them-happy tears..." Sumire responded as she took a sip of her cocktail slowly losing the appetite for it.

Kawaki rolled his eyes. "Yeah, like I will ever believe that. You're making it so obvious, you know," he said looking at her with narrowed eyes.

She stared at the pierced boy dumbfounded. "What are you talking about?" she asked.

An annoyed groan escaped his lips as he didn't want to elaborate it anymore for her. "You're in love with Boruto." He stated bluntly.

Sumire threw herself across the table in order to cover his mouth. Kawaki stared at her shocked by her sudden actions, but listened carefully to her. "Don't say it outloud!" she whispered.

Moving back into her seat, she remained seated with crossed arms as she looked away with a flushed face. As for Kawaki, he only looked at her dumbfounded and surprised.

Silence filled the table, and neither one looked at each other.

He was right though. Sumire was making it so obvious that Boruto might already know! Although she didn't show it, Sumire panicked as she didn't want it to go out-especially now while Boruto is trying his hardest to win Sarada's heart!

Looking at the duo once more, she watched as they danced in the sand. Wishing it was her, she tried picturing herself with someone else other than Boruto. Expect, no one came to mind.

Finally, Kawaki broke the awkward silence. Placing his arms on the table, he looked serious with whatever he was about to say. "Listen, staring at him like that won't get you nowhere. Also, he's in love with Sarada, not you. It's about time to find someone new."

Sumire looked back at Kawaki with a slightly surprised face. Since when did he become the bigger person and decide to give out some advice?

"I can be that person for you. For the time being, of course. I'm not in love with you or anything, and I doubt I will because I don't find myself ever being in a relationship in the future. However, I will still be there for you, even if we have our differences." Kawaki said as he leaned back in his chair closing his eyes.

Sumire looked at him with wide eyes. Just... where was he going with this? "What are you implying? For us to be in a fake relationship basically?" Sumire asked trying to understand him better.

A groan escaped Kawaki. "Tch, if that's how you want it, then whatever." He responded coldly as he looked away slightly embarrassed.

Silence filled the table once more. Both flushed with their responses, neither one knew how to bring up the subject once more.

Was Sumire that desperate to prove and show that she can get over Boruto that easily, or was she just desperate to be loved the way Boruto loves Sarada?

She didn't know, and she didn't care. If it meant getting over Boruto, then be it! "Fine, I accept. Since I am your personal nurse, it's also better since you'll be with me 24/7." She finally said with a flushed face.

Kawaki yawned but nodded his head indicating that he heard her. "Alright then... But just letting you know, I'm not someone who's to be loved or wanting to be loved."

Sumire nodded her head not caring what he said anymore.

The idea sounded crazy, but here she was doing it.

To think that Kawaki would actually agree to it. It sounds bonkers! Kawaki's that one bully at every school who doesn't care what grades he gets, what his teachers think, and how many tardies and after-school detentions he gets!

And yet, here he was fake-dating a soon-to-be scientist who is trying to get over her first love. Was he toying with her?

Whatever his reason or motives might be, she only hopes that it all ends well for both of them.
