Two days have passed since she and Kawaki got into that argument.

Since then, Sumire's mind has been occupied nonstop with studying for her exams. However, no matter how hard she tried to distract herself, the events and problems between those two special men lingered on.

Aside from all of those issues, she is also been busy assisting Boruto. Yes, that's right. Even though she is still in love with him, she hides her feelings and helps him out-because that is what friends do, right?

Sumire cast sidelong glances at her phone as she waited for a message. From either Kawaki or Boruto. At this point, she was expecting a message from anyone to take her mind off of things!

She couldn't talk to Sarada because she would then know of Boruto's way to win her over. She couldn't go to Boruto because she couldn't tell him how she felt about him.

And Kawaki... He was the reason she wanted a fake relationship: to take her mind off Boruto. However, things have changed, and she no longer knows how she feels about their relationship.

A heavy sigh escaped her lips, and she grabbed her phone to call ChoCho's number.

ChoCho was a girls' girl, and while she was not the best at comforting others, she still had great advice and could probably help her through it all.

"Hello?" On the other end of the line, there was a loud munching.

Sumire smiled slightly as she heard ChoCho's welcoming voice.

-

ChoCho was sitting next to a large bag of chips. Eating one already, she listened carefully to what Sumire was about to say while still enjoying her food.

"It has been a while since we have been together like this!" ChoCho spoke as she threw a chip into her mouth.

Sumire nodded in agreement. "Yeah! Now that I am on vacation, we can hang out until I have to return to college!" She exclaimed enthusiastically.

ChoCho examined Sumire closely. She appeared to have eyebags and looked different from before. "College seems to have taken a lot out of you, though," ChoCho stated.

Sumire chuckled nervously and looked away, embarrassed by her messy appearance.

"I would love to have a long conversation with you about anything! However, things have taken a bigger turn than I anticipated..." Sumire spoke with flushed cheeks.

She fidgeted with her hands as she stared down at them, trying to calm herself down. Sumire began to have regretful thoughts about all of this.

"What do you mean?" ChoCho asked, perplexed.

Sumire exhaled quickly and looked at her, blushing furiously. ChoChob looked quite surprised.

"I-I got into a fake relationship with Kawaki to distract myself from Boruto, but now I think I have fallen in love with Kawaki, which is difficult to tell because I still have feelings for Boruto! A-And I had also agreed to assist Boruto in winning Sarada over so that they could begin a relationship! I-I don't know what's wrong with me, or why I would even agree to help him when I still love him, but I just want to see Sarada happy, but I also want Boruto, but then there's KawakiandIfeellikewereforming-awawawawa... I am not even sure what I am saying anymore!" Sumire almost shouted when she finally broke down.

ChoCho's eyes grew wider than Sumire's. She sat silently. She was so shocked that she nearly dropped her bag of chips.

Looking away and taking a deep breath, she grabbed a handful of chips and began munching on them quickly while processing everything Sumire had told her.

Sumire, on the other hand, sobbed deeply into her arms, having longed for this release.

Looking up, she noticed a bag of chips in front of her. She stared at them, perplexed, and then at ChoCho, who was looking away embarrassed. "T-Take it... You need it more than I do..." She stated.

Sumire took it slowly and opened the bags to pull one out. While eating it, she sniffed quietly and wiped away her tears.

Silence filled the bench where they sat. Neither one said anything. Finally, ChoCho decided to end the silence.

"I can't believe you're still madly in love with Boruto... And even while he loves Sarada!" ChoCho yelled, but Sumire quickly silenced her.

ChoCho nodded, disappointed. "And loving Kawaki... Gosh, Sumire, I never imagined one of the girls falling in love with that jerk! But you, of all people, are the one I least expected to love him!"

"W-Well, I am not sure if I still love-" She was abruptly cut off when ChoCho placed a finger in front of her, indicating that she needed to stop.

She seemed surprised. "A little bird told me you kissed him! After that, you can't tell me you haven't fallen in love!" ChoCho stated as she played a new couple in her head.

"Kawaki is attractive, tall, and muscular. However, that ruthless personality of his is such a turnoff!" She screamed, slightly enraged that a beautiful boy was destroyed by a cold personality.

Sumire scratched her head as she reflected on Kawaki deeply. "I don't know... He appears friendly to me most of the time..."

ChoCho grabbed her and smiled broadly. "He's totally in love with you then! He never acts that way around anyone, and there's no way that any girl other than Himawari would have him acting that way!"

Sumire's cheeks flushed heavily. Looking away, she pondered it. What made her different from any other girl?

She turned to ChoCho, who was opening a new bag of chips and eating them like they were the best thing in the world, as she suddenly remembered something.

"How about Eida? I recall when he would act-" ChoCho's chips nearly fell again, and the mere mention of the name terrified her.

Sumire stared, surprised by her reaction.

"We don't talk about her... anymore."
