Sumire stared at the store shelves, trying to decide what snack to get. A sigh escapes her lips as she selects her favorite to-go snack, bread crusts.

After purchasing a bag of bread, she returned to Sarada's home and immediately began breaking it apart into crusts and frying it.

She removed any remaining oil and placed them on her plate, making them ready to serve.

Sitting at the dining room table, she ate her food peacefully while scrolling through her phone.

However, nothing was distracting her from her main focus. She planned to visit Boruto's house tomorrow and see Himawari after a year.

Her eyes widen as she recalls someone else. "Oh right, and Kawaki..." she said quietly to herself.

She did not give it much thought, even though she had previously been his personal nurse. Losing her appetite for the bread crusts, she recalled how he used to be: Cold, harsh, and disrespectful.

Sumire wondered if he was still the same after all that time apart.

Who knows, but she knew she would find out tomorrow at Boruto's.

She scrolled down on her phone and looked at the date. "Tuesday already, huh?" She thought to herself and then turned it off, staring at her food with boredom.

For her, summer was already passing too quickly. She wished she could slow everything down and not have it go by so quickly.

However, that was impossible. All she needs to do is enjoy it while she can.

She got up from the table, grabbed her plate, and returned to her room to study for her exams.

If she wants to spend more time with her friends, she should finish college. "Let's just hope I don't overdo it," she said to herself as she sat down and began studying.

Sumire hurried down the streets, holding a bag containing medical supplies and another containing snacks.

Her alarm did not go off, and she was beginning to run late. Not only that, but she slept in far too long! Perhaps staying up late and studying for her exams was not the best idea after all.

When she arrived at his house, she accidentally dropped one of the snack bags and groaned as she attempted to open the gate while aiming for the bag.

Instead, the gate opened completely, and she fell awkwardly to the floor.

Rubbing her head, she let out a deep sigh. Sweat dripped down her face. Her whole appearance was a reck!

This was not the impression she wanted to give Himawari and Kawaki after such a long time apart.

She remained on the floor and let go of the gate, quickly grabbing the bag that had fallen to ensure that nothing spilled.

Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed the gate was about to hit her. Turning around and attempting to stop it, someone's foot stopped it halfway. Looking up, she saw grey, heavy eyes.

Her eyes widened as she realized whose eyes they were. "K-Kawaki!" She exclaimed with surprise.

Kawaki stared at her, alarmed. Finally, when he remembered who was in front of him, his eyes widened slightly before narrowing.

"Tch, you again?" He spoke with an annoyed tone.

Sumire sweated at his response but quickly rose and bowed before him in apology. "Sorry for causing you any trouble; I was just—" She was quickly cut off when he let go of the gate and let it hit her.

When it did, she froze and allowed the pain to take over. She let out a small scream because of how much pain it had caused her. "H-He has not changed at all!" she thought to herself, her left eye twitching slightly with irritation.

Walking to the door, he turned back to look at her, even more irritated. "So, are you coming or not? Himawari and Boruto have been waiting for you," he said coldly, turning back to the door.

Sumire looked at him, annoyed, but only followed him, clutching the bags and remembering the pain he had caused with the gate.

She removed her shoes and placed them in front of her, and she noticed Boruto peeking out of the corner and smiling at her.

Kawaki only watched as he did so, irritated.

"Sumire, you have arrived!" he said, grabbing her hand and leading her upstairs. She blushed at the movement, but let him drag her to Himawari's room.

Her door remained closed. Boruto whispered in her ear, terrified, as she reached for the doorknob. "B-by the way, she may be a little cranky!"

She gave him a giggle. Opening the door, she saw Himawari sitting on her bed, her feet dangling. When they made eye contact, Himawari was the first to get up and hug her.

"Sumire!" she exclaimed enthusiastically. Kawaki and Boruto were surprised as they watched her from the hallways. When they walked in, they would be yelled at!

"Hima! It has been a while; how are you doing so far?" Sumire asked as they started walking towards her bed.

Sumire immediately went to work on checking her and making sure she was okay. "Hmm, so far I am doing fine. I get a runny nose and can be cranky at times." Himawari replied with a grin.

It only took one word from Boruto to get Himawari to start shouting like she always did. "Do not even!" she screamed, as Boruto backed away, terrified.

"I see... That is perfectly normal, especially for someone your age!" Sumire spoke as she examined her for signs of menstruation.

Himawari scratched the back of her head nervously while speaking. "Yeah, but I end up doing it frequently..."

After examining her, she concluded that her illness had passed. As Sumire rose up, Himawari stared at her, awaiting for her response.

"You are fine!" she finally said, smiling brightly.

Himawari's cheeks turned pink, and she got up to stretch. "Well, that is a relief!" she replied.

Looking back at the door, she noticed Boruto and Kawaki looking at her amusedly. Sumire's cheeks flushed red, and she looked away shyly.

Boruto walked in and grinned as he patted her shoulder. "Thanks, Sumire." He replied with a slight smirk.

She was so taken aback by his gesture that she hadn't even sensed the intense gaze burning on her back. Kawaki's heavy gaze.

Was he perhaps angry with her?
