Chapter 10

By the next morning my life was a such a disaster. Leo didn't talk to me. He didn't know that Max was also Bill. He never showed up again. I was just looking at the sea thinking what else would. destroy my life. My life was a failure, I am a failure! I wish I would never be born. But why me? Why must I be useless? I could feel Leo's anger. We didn't do practice that day. In the evening, everyone was busy doing something except me. So I started my usual walks around a very small area near the sea. I was very cold since it was winter and my walk took for only few minutes. Suddenly, I heard something strange behind a bush. I froze and my blood cuddled. Was it Bill again and his jokes? I didn't move until I was sure it was him. I waited and then someone else appeared from the bush. It was Mark! I was in great danger. He seemed angry and ready for revenge. I started making steps backwards. I was staring at him with fear.

Mark: We finally met Sarah! Or may I call you Jennie?

Jennie: Leave me alone!

Mark: I will never leave unless you give me your blood and powerful tears.

Jennie: I will never let you! I don't have these things you are thinking of!

Mark: Little dummy, you can't trick me! Now come here-

I started crying and then I tried to get away from him. But he didn't let me so easily. He wrapped my hand and he smirked with an evil face.

Mark: I am stronger than you! I forgot to tell you my little secret. I am both demon and vampire. So you have nowhere to go. Or wait! How about making a deal?

Jennie: What?

Mark: It's simple. You become my wife and I don't kill you. How does that sound?

Jennie: Are you crazy? I will never become your wife! You freaking moron!

Mark: Fine. Whatever you want! That's your choice.

Jennie: Wait! I will marry you only if you don't harm others. I beg you!

Mark: Ok. Our wedding will be tomorrow at 6 p.m in the afternoon.

He held my hand and we started flying. When we arrived I was socked about the place. It was the castle I was stuck in! All the vampires were looking at me like they wanted to kill me. Suddenly, Mark shouted to everyone to start the preparations for the wedding. He led me in my bedroom and he locked me. I was crying for so many hours but I couldn't do anything to cancel the wedding. I was so mad at myself. Neither Leo nor Bill could help me. They wouldn't care about me. After a lot of thinking I fell asleep. In my dream I saw Leo hugging me and Bill just standing away and looking at us. Then, I woke up by some noises. The door was finally unlocked and Mark gave me a wedding dress. I wore it and I looked so preety in it. He fit me perfectly. It was time for the wedding. I was so anxious. When the gates opened, everyone was looking at me amazed. There were so many vampires, witches and demons. We hadn't got any priest. Mark introduced me his ugly friend who was gonna marry us. I was disgusted.

Mark's friend: Mark, do you accept Jennie as your permanent wife?

Mark: Yes, I do.

Mark's friend: Jennie, do you accept Mark as your permanent husband?

I hesitated to answer. I had this strange feeling into me again. My teeth had taken again this specific shape and my nails had become claws again. Mark looked at me curiously.

Jennie: You know what? I hate you! I don't want to marry you freak!

I ran faster like a real wolf and the guests were chasing me but they couldn't reach me apart from witches. Their magic brooms were faster than me. So I jumped on the air, I punched a witch and I took her broom very easily. I didn't know how to drive this thing so the other witches reached me in no time! They cast a spell and threw me off the broom. Mark saw me and he ran after me. He was more powerful and faster than anyone else. I was very exhausted and I was about to faint but I had to keep my self awake. Mark finally reached me and threw me on the floor. But before he could do any move, Bill and Leo appeared in front of my eyes. I was shocked. How could they find me? Leo and Bill started fighting furiously and I was just watching. I had to take part in this fight too. We beat a lot of monsters but I can't say the same about Mark and his ugly friend. They were stronger than us. However, we never gave up, we continued fighting for our lives. Suddenly, I realiser that in my pocket I had a very small cross of Jesus. I brought him out and I pointed it to the two demons. Then, they seemed weaker and they even couldn't walk! I approached them when Mark begged me with tears in his eyes to leave him alone and he would never bother us again. The two boys didn't trust him but I felt that I should give him another chance.

Jennie: I will let you, if you promise that you will be kind, tender-hearted and warm like the first time we met.

Mark: But I am both a demon and a vampire!

Jennie: And? You choose what you wanna be next. It doesn't mean if you are a demon, you must be evil. I am a werewolf and werewolves are supposed to kill anyone they see. But I never chose that way. It is unfair for others to lose their lives with no reason! Or else, you know what will happen if you dare to bother us! Think about it.

And I put the cross into my pocket again. I looked at him with a murderous look and he started flying while crying with his friend. I hugged both Leo and Bill.

Jennie: Guys, I am very sorry!

Bill: It's ok! We can be all friends instead of arguing.

I looked at Leo and he seemed that he loved being with Bill. They had started a good friendship together and I was proud of them. When we arrived, my step mum and dad run so fast towards me.

Mum: Oh my little girl! Are you ok?

Dad: We missed you so much Jennie! Never go at places all alone! You'll be in trouble. Promise?

Jennie: Promise...

And they hugged me with tears. At night, the three of us decided to sleep together in Leo's big tent. I was so happy that these two were friends. While Bill was entering the tent, I was near the fire because I was cold. Leo sat next to me.

Leo: It is very cold!

Jennie: Yeah it is. Aren't you supposed to be mad at me?

Leo: Of course not. I understood that it might have been a moment of weakness, right?

Jennie: Exactly. But I am very very sorry for my  behavior.

Leo: No, that's my fault. Because I hadn't asked you this earlier. Jennie, would you like to be my girlfriend?

I stared at him. What had he just said?! I didn't answer but then I was brave again.

Jennie: Of course!

I jumped on him and hugged him. That was the best night ever!
