︎︎ ︎︎ ︎︎ ︎︎ ．．．i've left many things unanswered in this book. i really thought i'd be able to write to a point where i 100% completed this little story, but honestly, throughout the years, i've never gotten this far with my writing
that said, i'd firstly like to thank you all for 100k reads and 5k votes (as of now)! i genuinely never thought'd i'd come this far despite the fact that i lowkey abandoned this book
secondly, i'd like to talk about this fanfic's lore. there's a few scenes in this fanfic which outright just leaves you confused, probably, so i'll just be answering them or explaining why i wrote what i wrote and what for
─ IN DOT'S BIRTHDAY SPECIAL ; i hinted that everyone would be "forgetting" (y/n) in less than a year's time.
here was what i had in mind: if you go back to the interlude of s1, you'll notice that in the trivia section, i stated that (y/n)'s immortality worked through reincarnation
so, to put things simply:
- she had immortalized herself with her own magic
- which was considered as "taboo", or a grave sin, by the gods
- thus, the gods had cursed her to be forgotten by the world each time she was reborn
- and each time, she would, by fate, always end up dead by the age of 18
i have ZERO idea why i decided to make (y/n)'s character so complex with this, and i really do cringe whenever i think back to it..... but alas, what's done is done, and i've indulged too far in my "mary-sue" antics </3
︎︎ ︎︎ ︎︎ ︎︎ ─ ABOUT THE "PROJECT" ; somewhere back in the later chapters of s1, i mentioned a project that involved (y/n) and her siblings
the project was some sort of ploy by (y/n)'s father (and i think innocent zero as well, i dont quite remember) to achieve immortality
this goal was sparked by a tale that spoke of how (y/n) had attained her immortality. however, due to the rare nature of sealing magic, replicating what she had done was nothing easy.
but somehow, (y/n)'s father had supposedly found out about outright snagging (y/n)'s soul to become immortal.
he had made this plan with the objective of creating the perfect vessel to sort of force (y/n) into when she is reborn
...it's very messy!! i know 😓
but of course, it was nothing easy. hence, he had created "alistair" (her brother, my oc) to eliminate imperfections of the project (in other words, his own siblings, probably)!
and there's probably a lot more details to this that i'm missing out... its been months since i planned this and never followed through with it
︎︎ ︎︎ ︎︎ ︎︎ ─ INNOCENT ZERO & (Y/N) ; about the relationship between innocent zero and (y/n), its something odd
if you recall the flashback of wahlberg's past, he was friends/acquainted with meliadoul and innocent zero. i thought it'd be fun to slide in (y/n) in that friendship too, but as a past life
in short, there was a point in that time of youth where innocent zero had found out about (y/n)'s immortality. he soon learnt about the entire ordeal with her being forgotten and all, and so he went on to find ways to not forget her
eventually, there was a success, he didn't forget her even though he should've. it wasn't long before he started hunting down (y/n)'s reincarnations, trying to attain her immortality...!.
and so blah blah, sending out his sons to hunt her down was inevitable. of course, there's been many instances where innocent zero had striked her before she could counter
so in a sense, (y/n) had been "killed" multiple times by innocent zero, and all this while, she's just been tolerating it
and by this point, i realised that all this started to sound like bullshit and i'm overdoing it for a fanfic that was meant to be a self-insert 🧍
note to future self: don't overdo it when writing fanfics again. save yourself the embarrassment...
︎︎ ︎︎ ︎︎ ︎︎ ─ ALISTAIR COME AGAIN ; toward the end of s1, i decided to bring back alistair. i just intended to kill him off again right after that, to make (y/n) suffer
there's nothing deep about it, except the fact that innocent zero only revived him after finding out about the project to snag (y/n)'s immortality (which would theoretically prove to be more effective than killing her again and again)
︎︎ ︎︎ ︎︎ ︎︎ ─ SEASON 2 ; after realising how shitty this book honestly is, at least to me, i've decided to scrap the entirety of s2
i genuinely apologise if you're disappointed by this, especially after how i even made a half-assed teaser for it
(i have many regrets)
(regrets of letting myself write this overkill of a plot)
as for future books or anything similar of the sort, i do consider on writing for some characters. though, not as keen or interested in it. take any probable works of mine with a grain of salt 😇
