The next morning, Aly woke up with a renewed sense of purpose. He quietly left the house, careful not to disturb Karishma.
Today, He knew what he had to do to protect his family. Driving up into the mountains, he found an isolated spot where he could make the call without being traced.
He dialed Rehaan's number, his jaw clenched as he waited for the line to connect.
"Hello?" Rehaan's voice came through, sounding smug as ever.
"Rehaan, mujhe abhi hill top pe milo." Aly said tersely, his voice low and dangerous.
Rehaan chuckled, sensing the tension. "Itni jaldi kya hai, Aly? Tumhe meri yaad aa gayi?"
Aly's grip tightened around the phone. "Zyada bakwas mat karo. Aur jitna bola hai utna karo. Abhi."
Without waiting for a response, Aly ended the call and broke his SIM card in half, tossing the pieces out the window. He needed this to be off the grid.
He drove up the winding roads to the hilltop, his mind focused on the confrontation ahead.
When he arrived, Rehaan was already there, leaning casually against his car, a smug grin on his face.
"So, Aly, yeh sab kya drama hai? Tumhe kya lagta hai main tumhari gidar dhamki se daar jaunga.." Rehaan sneered.
Aly stepped out of his car, his eyes blazing with anger. "Yeh koi drama nahi hai, Rehaan. Yeh tumhare har ek gande harkat ka jawab dene ka waqt hai."
Rehaan laughed, pushing himself off the car and stepping closer. "Acha? Aur tum soch rahe ho ke tum mujhe darake yeh sab rok doge? Tumhare paas koi saboot hai?"
Aly's fists clenched at his sides. "Saboot chhodo, yaha koi kanoon nai hai, aaj yahan hum apne beech ka faisla karenge."
Rehaan's eyes gleamed with malicious excitement. "Faisla? Toh tum mujhe fight karna chahte ho, DSP sahab?"
Aly didn't respond with words. Instead, he stepped forward, his body tense and ready. Rehaan took that as a challenge and moved towards him, his smile turning into a snarl.
The two men stood face to face, the tension crackling in the air. Aly swung first, landing a solid punch on Rehaan's jaw. Rehaan staggered back but quickly regained his footing, launching himself at Aly with a roar.
Rehaan tackled Aly to the ground, but Aly quickly rolled to the side, throwing Rehaan off. Both men scrambled to their feet, their eyes locked in mutual hatred.
"Yeh tumhari aakhri galti hogi, Rehaan," Aly growled, wiping blood from his lip.
"Bakwas band karo, Aly. Tumhari wajah se meri partner mujhse dur hai, mujhe galat samajhti hai, aaj mai tumhara kisa khatam karke hi rahuga ." Rehaan spat back, lunging at Aly again.
The two exchanged a flurry of punches and kicks. Aly blocked a vicious punch to his face, countering with an elbow to Rehaan's ribs. Rehaan grunted in pain but managed to grab Aly's arm, twisting it behind his back.
Aly grimaced, his muscles straining against the hold. "Karishma aur mere bachche se door raho, Rehaan."
Rehaan sneered, tightening his grip. "Tumhe lagta hai main haar maan loonga? Yeh toh sirf shuruat hai, Aly. Aaj hum dono mai se koi ek ghar jaaega!"
With a surge of strength, Aly broke free, spinning around and delivering a powerful kick to Rehaan's chest. Rehaan stumbled back, gasping for breath, but refused to fall.
