The night passed in peaceful slumber, the first in a long time where Aly and Karishma felt a sense of unity.

The early morning light filtered through the curtains as they lay together, holding on to the warmth of each other’s presence.

Karishma was the first to stir, blinking slowly as the events of the previous night replayed in her mind. She turned to look at Aly, who was still asleep, his face relaxed, free of the tension that usually marred his features.

A soft smile tugged at her lips as she gently brushed a lock of hair away from his forehead. For a moment, she simply watched him, taking in the rare sight of him at peace.

It was a fleeting moment, but it filled her with hope—hope that they could truly rebuild what had been broken. Aly stirred beside her, his eyes fluttering open.

When he saw Karishma looking at him, his expression softened.
"Good morning," he whispered, his voice still heavy with sleep.

"Good morning," she replied, her tone tender. They lay there for a few moments longer before Aly finally sat up, rubbing his face as he adjusted to the new day.

Karishma watched him, hesitating before she spoke. "Aly, aaj ka din alag hoga na?" she asked softly, almost as if afraid of breaking the fragile peace they had found.

Aly looked at her, his expression thoughtful. "Haan, Karishma. Aaj ka din naya hoga. Hum dono ke liye."

She smiled at that, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. "Phir hum tumhare liye ek badiya si coffee banate hai," she offered, slipping out of bed.

Aly caught her hand, stopping her before she could leave. "Ek minute ruko," he said, his eyes locking onto hers.

"Main phele kuch kehna chahta hoon, Karishma." She paused, turning back to him. "Kya hua, Aly?"

He took a deep breath, gathering his thoughts. "Karishma, main chahta hoon ki tum samjho ki yeh sab itna aasaan nahi hoga. Rehaan ka shadow humare beech humesha aata rahega, lekin main chahta hoon ki tum uss waqt mera haath mazbooti se thaam lo."

Karishma nodded, her heart swelling with emotion. "Abse hum kabhi yeh haath nahi chhodenge, Aly.."

Aly gave her a small smile, the sincerity in her words easing the doubts that had been lingering in his mind.

"Thank you, Karishma," he said softly. "Mujhe tumpe poora bharosa hai."

She leaned down, pressing a soft kiss to his forehead. "Aur hume tumpe," she whispered back.

They shared a quiet moment of connection before Karishma gently pulled away, heading towards the kitchen to make coffee.

Aly watched her go, his mind racing with thoughts of the day ahead. He knew they still had a long way to go, but for the first time, he felt like they had a real chance.

A little while later, Karishma returned with two steaming cups of coffee. Aly was already dressed in his uniform, preparing for another day at the DSP office.

He took the cup she handed him, their fingers brushing briefly, sending a spark of warmth through both of them.

"Aaj hume toh maddam sir ne ghar pe ho rehne ka adesh dia hai tumhara schedule kaisa hai?" Karishma asked, trying to keep the conversation light.

Aly took a sip of his coffee, savoring the warmth. "Normal routine hai. Kuch meetings hain, aur thoda paperwork bhi. Bas, tum apna dhyaan rakhna, aur tumhari haseena bhabi bhi yehi chahti hai ki tum aur baby ek dum healthy ho."
