The tension in the room was thick as Aly’s angry words hung in the air. The atmosphere, once filled with celebration, had now turned uncomfortable & heavy.
Anubhav, who had been quietly watching the situation unfold, couldn’t hold back any longer.
"Aly ji, bas bohot ho gaya," Anubhav said, stepping forward. His tone was stern, almost fatherly, as if he was scolding a younger sibling.
"Aap hamesha se hi aise humari bhena par apna gussa nikaalta aaye hai par humne kabhi apni awaz nahi uthai, sirf apni bhena ka ghar bachaane ke liye, humesha socha samaye ke sath cheeze viprit ho jaegi.
Apko shayad lagta hai aap bhena ke liye protective hai, caring hai, par asal mein aap sirf unko dard dete hai , dukh dete hain aur aur vo bhi sirf apni ego satisfy karne ke chakkar mein."
Aly's eyes narrowed, his anger simmering just below the surface. "Tumhe pta bhi hai, tum kya keh rahe ho, Anubhav?" he asked, his voice dangerously low.
"Yahi ki tum apne aap ko sabse bada thekedaar samajhte ho, lekin sach yeh hai ki tumne humari behen ko bohot hurt kiya hai, physically bhi," Anubhav replied, his voice growing louder as he spoke.
The shock of his words rippled through the room, leaving everyone stunned. Karishma’s eyes widened in disbelief, and she immediately moved towards her brother.
“Yeh aap kya keh rahe hain, bhaiya ?” Karishma asked, her voice shaking with a mix of shock and anger. “Yeh sab jhoot hai!” But before she could say more, Aly’s temper snapped.
His hand shot out, grabbing Anubhav by the collar. “Kaun hota hai tu mere baare mein aise bolne wala?”
Aly growled, pulling Anubhav closer, their faces inches apart. “Tu hota kaun hai yeh sab bolne wala?”Karishma frantically tried to intervene, pulling at Aly’s arm. "Aly, please chhodo unhe! Aly vo humare bhaiya hai" she pleaded, but her attempts only seemed to fuel Aly’s rage further.
Aly, still holding Anubhav by the collar, turned to Karishma, his eyes blazing with fury. "Toh tum apne bhaiya ko kyu nahi samajhati kuch????? Har baar mujhe hi chup hona padta hai, sirf tumhare liye, sirf tumhare liye main chup rehta hu, Angel !
Tum Rehaan ko request kar sakti ho, Anubhav ko samjha sakti ho, lekin jab baat inn dono par aati hai, toh tumhe hamesha mujhe hi chup karwana padta hai.
Aur sabko yaha lagta hai ki main ek ganda, careless aur arrogant husband hoon, lekin yeh bilkul sach nahi hai!" Aly’s voice cracked with emotion as he continued,
"Main tumse pyar karta hu, Karishma, tumhe humesha ek devi ki tarah tumhari izzat karta aaya hoon. Haan, main short-tempered hoon, par main koi molester ya abuser nahi hoon!
Yeh tum bhi janti ho, bass kabhi apne gharwalo ko samajhati nahi, bass mujhe chup rakhna chahti ho, aur aaj bhi vohi hoga, Aly chup rahega par fir se apni beizzati karvane iss ghar main nahi ayega! "
With those final words, Aly released Anubhav and stepped back, his chest heaving with the effort of holding back the full force of his anger.
The room was silent, the weight of Aly’s words hanging in the air. Karishma stood frozen, torn between defending Aly and her brother.
Her heart ached at the accusations thrown around, and she could see the pain in Aly’s eyes, pain that had been buried deep beneath his anger.
But before she could say anything, Aly turned on his heel and stormed out of the house, leaving everyone in stunned silence. Karishma watched helplessly as he walked away, her heart breaking with each step he took.
