It was a bright and sunny morning, with a clear blue sky. Pete stepped onto the balcony with a cup of coffee in hand. The gentle morning breeze was so refreshing, it felt like a balm for his weary soul. He didn't bother to wake Kao; he wanted him to sleep a little bit longer.

A lot has happened these past days. Pete indeed needed a break. Can he make everything right? Can he make Kao happy? So many thoughts swirled in his head, a tempest of doubt and hope.

Now or later, everyone would've come to know that Pete and Kao were married; they couldn't hide forever. Pete, being a popular actor, knew their relationship would eventually be public knowledge, it shouldn't be a problem for them anymore. It's better this way, to live authentically and without fear, embracing their love openly and without hesitation.

With all these thoughts inside his head, Pete glanced back at Kao, peacefully sleeping inside. The sight of Kao's serene expression eased Pete's worries for a moment.
He felt a surge of love and thankfulness for Kao, who brought so much peace and happiness into his life. Pete couldn't help but smile softly at Kao's peaceful form.

After getting married, Pete focused on advancing his acting career, while Kao dedicated himself to his studies. Their busy schedules made it challenging to spend time together. However, their commitment to each other provided a sense of grounding and hope, as they looked forward to moments when they could reconnect amidst their demanding lives.
The challenges of balancing their careers and personal lives seemed less daunting when they faced them together. Pete envisioned a future where their love grew stronger with each passing day, where they could support each other through the highs and lows of life.

Later ,

Pete came to wake Kao, sitting gently beside him on the bed. Softly, he said, "Ai Kao~," gently shaking him and kissing his forehead. "You're such a kitty," Pete murmured, admiring the way his husband slept, gently brushing the bangs from Kao's forehead.
Kao groaned at Pete's touch. "What time is it?" he asked, eyes half-closed.
"It's 10:30 am," Pete answered.
"Oh, why didn't the alarm ring? I set it for 9:30 am," Kao said, confused as he slowly sat up, still sleepy.
"I turned it off so you could sleep a little more," Pete replied. Kao smiled.
"Hurry up and brush your teeth. After breakfast, we have to go to Mint's house. I'm going to get ready," Pete said as he stood.
"Alright," Kao responded.
After a few minutes, both of them were ready and came to the kitchen. An avocado toast with smoked salmon, eggs, and fresh juice were all ready on the table.
"Today, Chef Pete made breakfast. How romantic," Kao said, looking at Pete and smiling.
"Anything for you, baby," Pete replied, making Kao blush.
"Thank you, Mr. Husband, for the breakfast," Kao said as he took a bite of the toast. "It's really good," he added, savoring every bite.

At the mall.

"Do you think Lia will like it?" Pete asked Kao, considering gifts for Lia.
"I was thinking of a bicycle, now that she's a bit older. It would be a good time for her to start," Pete suggested.
Kao nodded, with a smile of agreement. "That's a great idea, Pete. It'll be a good  way for her to explore and have fun outdoors." Pete grinned, pleased with Kao's support. "Exactly."
Kao chuckled softly, then hesitated before adding, "And you know how much she loves helping out in the kitchen with Mint."
Pete's smile widened. Lia's  assisting her mother in the kitchen was well-known in their household. "You're right. Maybe we should consider getting her a little kitchen set too. It could keep her busy and make her feel like she's really helping."
"I think she'd like it very much," Kao agreed warmly. "She won't feel left out when Mint's cooking, and it could be a new way for her to learn."

At Mint's house.

Lia ran to the door as soon as she heard the doorbell, knowing exactly who it was. The uncles were finally here, and the little girl couldn't contain her happiness at seeing them after such a long time. Pete didn't hesitate to scoop her up in a hug as soon as she reached them. "Happy birthday, Lia," he said with a big smile.

Lia was so caught up with her uncle Pete that she almost didn't notice her uncle Kao. Kao smiled warmly as he watched Pete and Lila together, finding their interaction adorable. He gently cleared his throat to get Lia's attention. The little girl turned and immediately ran to Kao, wrapping her arms around him in a tight hug. "Happy birthday to our little princess," Kao said warmly.
