Kao POV
i woke up with a sound of phone call. I looked at phone screen it was my mother in law.
I answered her call.
"Hello kao"
"Hello Mom, how are you?"
"I'm okay kao, but your Dad is at hospital" before I ask anything she said "you don't have to worry, he's okay now. I tried so many times to call Pete but he isn't answering so I called you to let you know"
"Pete is busy mom, that's why maybe he couldn't answer. What happened to Dad?"
"He had small accident while crossing the road with the motorbike. So I take him to hospital. He had a leg injury. Doctor said he need to stay here for a while to recover."
"I hope he'll recover soon... Mom you should take care of yourself and Dad too. I'll come this afternoon To visit him. And I'll inform Pete about it. So he can take a day off. So we can come together"
"Alright, see you soon then" she said then we hung up the call.
After our conversation I tried to call Pete. He didn't answer at first. But after few calls he finally answered.
"Hello Pete, why don't you answers your calls? Do you know how many times mom tried to call you ?"
"I was busy. Which mom? Mine or yours?"
"Yours, Mom said Dad had an accident and he's at hospital"
"What?? How?" He asked in shocked.
"With a motorbike, he had leg injuries. I told mom that I'll go visit him this afternoon. Can you take a day off? so we'll visit him together. He'll be happy to see us" I explained.
"Okayy, I'm coming. Can you Book two plane tickets. Cause in car it'll take so much time." He said. I can feel that he's worried from the other side.
"Alright" I said.
After hanging up our call. I book plane tickets from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. Luckily there're tickets available this afternoon.
I looked at the wall clock, it showed 11:30. Since it was weekend I didn't have class.
I got up from bed. Take a shower. Went downstairs in kitchen to make quick breakfast. As I was making breakfast. I heard door unlocking. And it was Pete.
"What are you doing ?" He asked as he saw me.
"Making breakfast, did you had breakfast?"
"I had it, can you make please make a cup of coffee for me? I don't know why I have headaches"
"Okay" I said.
He then went to upstairs. I heard him talking to someone in phone. It might be Mom.
I quickly made a omelette. And coffee for Pete.
After few minutes he come down. And sat in dining table. He isn't saying anything.
I went to him "Pete, here is your coffee" I said as gave him his coffee.
He take the coffee and said "Thank you"
He looked worried. Look like he want to cry.
I sat down beside him. Hold his hands to comfort him.
"I talked to mom " he said.
"What did she said?" I asked.
"She said, he need to stay stay at hospital for a while"
"Pete, i know you're worried. I'm also. But I'm sure dad will be okay soon. We need to take care of him. So that he can get well soon"
He nodded. I gave him a small hug and said "Now get ready. Our plane is at 13:30. I also have to pack some of our clothes. We don't have much time"
After having breakfast. We pack our things. And get ready to leave. Before leaving I make sure that I closed everything. After few minutes our taxi arrived and we left for airport.
