3rd person POV
At the conference hall, here come both Pete kao. As soon as the they entered the hall, cameras started flashing from everywhere.
They went up on the stage, By pressing palms together and with a slight bow both greeted everyone.
Beside them was Alice and Pete's manager, they all went to take a seat, where they spotted the table with a mic and water bottles which was set up for them.
Pete and Kao sat between Alice and the manager. Alice began, her voice steady. "Hello, everyone. Today, we're holding this conference to address the rumors that have been circulating over the past weeks. Pete and I decided it was best to explain things directly. Some of you might be upset, and some might be happy. I ask that you respect Pete's decision."
Pete took the mic, his voice calm and confident. "Hello. I'm Pete Vihokratana, though I believe most of you know me already. And this man beside me is my husband, Kao Vihokratana." He looked at Kao, smiling warmly.
Kao, feeling nervous in the spotlight, was comforted by Pete's hand under the table. "Hello everyone, I'm Kao Vihokratana," he said with a smile.
A reporter quickly raised a question. "Mr. Pete, how did you two get married?"
Pete answered without hesitation, "Our marriage was sudden. We were in a relationship for a month before deciding to get married."
Another reporter followed up "Is there any reason to get married so early? I mean marriage is big decision, and also you started your career not long ago. How you manage it ?"
Pete's gaze softened as he looked at Kao. "We wanted to be there for each other, to support each other. Yes It was a big decision, but we discussed it thoroughly, both with each other and with our families. My career is important because I love what I do, but being with the person I love is also crucial. If not now, I would have married later anyway," he added with a light-hearted laugh.
"How your family responded to this, what was their reaction?" A reporter ask
"our family was very supportive, I'm lucky because they want nothing but the best for us." Pete answered.
"What was your thought about your sexuality and what would you like to say to people who maybe in the similar situation as you?" A third reporter asked.
"Honestly I've never been in love with anybody before, I've been always busy with my work and study, so I wasn't in a relationship with anyone before. I've never found anyone romantically attractive except Kao. When we meet and get to know each other, we both grew feelings, it came so naturally." He said.
"In our society it's not easy, two men romantically attracted to each other or two women. To anyone in a similar situation, I say be who you are. Society might judge, but don't let their words affect you."." Pete said with a smile.
"I want to ask some questions to Kao vihokratana." A reporter said. "We saw a video where some of his fans try to hurt you. But after watching the video lot of people from industry wrote you supportive comments which is really nice. Would you like to say anything to them?"
Kao took the mic once the reporter finished speaking "First of all I would like to thank everyone for these sweet comments, which really cheered me. Even they don't know me but still wrote such a nice comments. I really appreciate it." Kao smiled. " I think that's normal for some fans to get hurt with the sudden news. But I just hope they understand that Pete also have a life which is not being filmed. I just want his fans to support him of whatever he does, for whoever he is." Said Kao.
Everyone in hall applauses for Kao's comment.
Alice stepped in, her tone firm "Regarding the situation with Kao, the company wouldn't hesitate to take legal action, if any of our artists get hurt because of some anti-fans" Said Alice. "Please respect Pete's choice, and not just his, but everyone's. As Kao said fans should always support the artists for whatever he or she does." Alice want to protect every artist, because as a CEO that's what she should do. She thought.
And I would like to tell one more thing "The company decided that, Pete would take a break from everything for a while. So all his scheduled projects will be delayed now. We apologize to the fans eagerly awaiting his next project. I just want to say that Please be patient; he will be back soon."
That wasn't what Pete had planed, as he had decided to resign. But then before coming to the conference, Alice talk to him once again. Also Kao didn't want him to resign because Pete love his works. So Kao, his manager, Alice they talked to him "we'll do whatever we can Pete, please trust us." Said Alice to Pete.
This was a change from Pete's initial plan to resign. Alice, Kao, and the manager had convinced him otherwise before the conference.
"I'm very thankful to the fans, who have always supported me. I'm sorry... but I promise you all to come back soon. So please be patient." Said Pete with a smile.
"Thank you for today." The conference concluded with applause from the audience.
