THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL before winter break came and we were all so excited. the snow has gotten deeper, which makes it harder to walk. but us new yorkers don't care!
yeah right.
me and nathan waited for jimena and leah at the corner store because we had found each other crossing the street.
"gum?" he says, giving me a piece.
"oh thanks" i say.
"for christmas i got jimena a promise ring" he starts.
"a promise ring?" i say. "wow".
i was in shock, but i also found it cute. even if they were dating for 5months, their relationship is very mature and trustworthy.
"you know, that's actually really cute. do you have a picture?" i ask.
"let me look"
he showed me a picture of a cute and simple ring. the rock in the middle was a good size, and the ring had flowers engraved.
"oh wow, you have good taste that's beautiful" i gazed.
"you can't really tell, but it's her favorite flower on the ring and the rock is her birthday month. i like to pay attention to the little details" he smiled.
if you see me jumping off the empire state building, it was NOT me.
"wow nathan i'm surprised. no one has ever done this for her before. i'm jealous" i laughed.
"your time will come,just be patient. you guys just started dating so the real fun begins ".
"fun as in?" i wonder.
"you'll see" he laughed.
"by the way, i know milo doesn't celebrate christmas, but i really wanna give him something. what should i do?" i say.
"uhm, you wouldn't see him till february though?" he says.
"geez don't ruin the moment" i rolled my eyes.
"okay okay. well you can buy him jewelry, he has been wanting this specific necklace for a long time. i'll send you a picture later".
"grool! i'll just give it to him when we see him".
"HI! ARE WE READY FOR LA?" leah jumped.
leah wasnt paying attention and bumped into nathan. he was drinking his water and it spilled all over him.
"oops" leah says.
"i'm already freezing and you are not helping" he argues.
"should i call you a wambulance?" she teased.
"i can't wait for the others to come back, i'm tired of being the only guy!".
"alright grumpy, let's go pack our list minute stuff" jimena laughed.
WE ARRIVED TO THE AIRPORT around 9:30pm and checked in. our plane leaves at 12:30, so we had PLENTY of time to spare.
"i'm so tired but i dont wanna sleep until the plane" jimena yawned.
"let's go get coffee or something to eat" i suggest.
"food!" leah, jimena, and nate yell.
we ended up eating chic fil a and sat there until our flight bordered.
even if we got here early, we still were late to our flight. it was all thanks to nate, he had to use the BATHROOM.
"i don't know what's more embarrassing, being the last ones on board or nate in general" leah whispers.
"some nerve you have hating on me" he argues, whispering.
"some nerve i have?! we got here 3 hours early and yet we almost missed our flight? all because you wanted to take a-"
"okay atleast we're on the plane!" he says.
"i'm sorry this is all so funny to me" i laughed.
jimena and i were laughing at them as we found our seats and sat down. before flying, leah's phone went off and it ended up being sebastian. i sat next to jimena and nate, while leah sat next to nate from another isle.
we were all so excited, we couldn't wait for LA.
