HE WAS MUCH different now from when we were teenagers. he looked more professional, well suited and taller than before.

this was the first time we seen each other after we broke up.

sure, he was cuter i guess. but it doesn't change the fact how he hurt me and how we left me.

leah cleared her throat and signaled everyone to get up. "why don't we go pick out some deserts and comeback? there's a lot to choose"

everyone agrees and walks away from the seating area. he then walks sits across from me and pulls out a box of cigars.

"you mind?" he asks, bringing up to his mouth.

"no"

he lights up the cigarette and i adjust in my seat.

"how are you?" he asks.

"i'm okay, schools going well" i say. "how are you?"

"i'm good. schools also going well for me" he smiled. "nyu huh? you've always talked about that school. the performing arts program, you loved watching their videos and talked about how you'd be in them one day. and now you are" he chuckled, exhaling out the smoke.

it shocked me how much he remembered all those things.

"you remember?" i say.

"of course, i see your videos all the time as a matter of fact." he smiled.

"uh" i cleared my throat. "how's yale?".

"it's cool, a bunch of finance majors but i mean that's what i'm there for too" he laughed. "but either then that, i like it" .

it went silence between us again, and all we did is stare at the floor. it wasn't awkward, but more of a realization that we were here together again. but it felt, nice? oh god, what am i saying?

"i was hoping to see you tonight" he spoke.

"were you really?" i ask.

"yeah, i wanted to see you and remember about us".

"hm, until you decided to end things" i whisper.

"it was a mistake, i should of never left you. i'm realizing how fucked up it was to leave you like that" he spoke.

i stayed quiet, i didnt know what to say. all i had in my mind was milo. but i should be upset at him because he practically ghosted and we haven't talked in a long time. but i'm realizing now how much i miss him.

"you don't believe in second chances?" he laughed, picking up the cup with alcohol.

"not with you" i spoke.

"why? it can be like before" he says.

"it can't. i have a boyfriend and i'm not gonna ruin a relationship for something you probably won't even be committed too" i claimed.

he looked up from the floor, and gave me a look with anger in his eyes. he gets up from his chair and reacted as if he was "heart broken".

"you moved on that fast?" he angrily says.

i let out a scoff as i now got up from my seat and followed him.

"that fast? we broke up last year before i went to college, might i remind you, you cheated" i say.

"you got it wrong" he manically laughed.

"oh really?" i scoffed. "the night of your birthday, you weren't answering me, leah showed me a video of you with another girl; shoving your tounge down your throat" i remembered.

"you don't know how bad that left me, i can not be with you again. and like i said, i'm happy now".

he turned around to look at me, and when he did he wasn't angry anymore. instead, he had a smirk. god, if i can just slap that smirk off his face.

"whatever" he hissed. "you weren't gonna be anything more than just a one night stand you whore" he laughed.

i didn't even think, my hand flew across his face and i slapped him hard. he held his cheek as he looked at me. i wasn't gonna stand there and let him disrespect me.

"holy shit, rosalie are you okay?" leah asks, coming from behind us.

i turned around and i seen everyone but hayley standing there with a plate of deserts.

"why don't you ask your brother?" i hissed.

he didn't say anything, instead he walked away with his hand still on his cheek. we all watched as jimena and leah came up to me and asked if i was alright.

we then sat down and i started to tell them all what happen. leah wasn't angry with me, she agreed. she knew her brother was an asshole, she wasn't gonna sit there and lie that she had the best brother in the world.

"atleast you stood your ground" jimena says.

"yeah, and to tell him you have a boyfriend is good. who knows what he had in mind" nathan adds.

"i didn't tell you guys" i cleared my throat. "me and milo haven't been talking, not since the trip to the beach."

"why didn't you say anything?!" leah says.

"i don't know" i frowned.

"but why? what did he do? what did you say?" jimena asks.

"he told me he was going to bed that day, but when i was about to go to bed he uploaded a picture of him at the club. he lied to me" i explain.

"oh that's fucked up" nathan says. "i'm sorry rose, trust me, if i knew something was happening with him i'd tell you".

"i know nate, but it's okay. whatever happens, happens" i shrugged.

"if anything, he's a butthead" jimena chuckled. "he knows he messed up, and he realized it'll be a lot to win you over again."

"she's right" leah agrees. "don't worry bub, milo will come back, but with a big apology. and if he doesn't, then he's an absolute idiot. he didn't know what to do with a gal like you" she smiled.

i let out a small laugh, and i decided to change the topic with new years. but i couldn't keep my mind off of him. i really miss him, i really love him.
