DAY 2
THE NEXT DAY was the day of the competition. today was monday, i hate mondays. i had also woke up with a big headache, but i have to wave that off, my focus is all on singing today."hey" milo says in a soft tone.
"goodmorning."
"what time is it?" he asks.
"it's 8:30, i have to get up early and get ready" i answer.
truthfully, i was nervous. this is a big deal for me, and i wanted to make sure i did everything right.
"you think they still have breakfast?" i ask, putting on my sweats.
"oh some waffles sound so good right now" he groaned, sitting up from the bed.
"let's go get some" i say.
we took the elevator down to the breakfast area, and it had a little crowd. if i knew this much people were gonna be down here, i'd dress up more...appropriate.
milo grabbed my hand and walked me over to the food area, where we grabbed a plate and served our food.
"ew why do these have spots on them" he looks.
"m it says chocolate chip on that paper" i point.
"oh, my bad" as soon as i read chocolate chip, he grabbed more waffles.
i grabbed more as well, knowing leah and jimena can barge in any minute and ask for food.
"look, dog waffles? i'm getting some for lou" he says.
someone was coming up to us from behind, but i didn't pay much attention. it wasn't until they patted milo on the back, and i immediately turned around to see who it was, it was mr.garcia.
"goodmorning kids, how was the bonfire?" he began.
"how did you know about the bonfire?" i ask.
"ah word gets around" he shrugged. "we don't mind, because the most important day is today" he laughed.
"you ready rosalie? you're gonna rock that solo" he reminded.
"yeah, i'm nervous, but excited to see how it goes" i respond.
"did you get the chocolates and gift card mr.garcia?" milo asks, finally turning around.
"yes i appreciate it" he smiled. "you boys are good, i don't mind making room for you guys."
"well we better get going, what time do you want us down at the lobby?" i question.
"12:30. the busses to the cathedral leave at that time. we'd have much time to warm up before we perform" he says.
"okay, we'll see you here in 4 hours" i chuckled.
"hey milo, leave some waffles for us. there are others that might be hungry" mr.garcia joked.
i looked over to see how he practically almost had a tower of waffles. when i had turned around to talk to mr.garcia again, he walked away towards the crowd of teachers.
"okay let's go, before someone sees you with that tower and complains" i say.
the communicating door that was framed in mine and the girls' room opens and leah opens it wide. lou runs in and jumps on the bed.
"goodmorning" she spoke, sitting on the edge of the bed.
"waffles?" she grabbed a waffle from milo. he wasn't looking, since he was feeding louie. i'm sure he'd throw a fit if he notices.
