LONG CHAPTERCHRISTMAS EVE rolled in and i wasn't in the best mood. milo last night wasn't being honest, and i went to sleep in a bad mood. i haven't done anything to him, nor have i said anything.
i didn't want to show my emotions though, it's the holidays and everyone around me is so jolly. the only solution for me is to fake a smile.
"rosalie! are you getting ready? your friends are gonna pick you up in an hour!" mom shouts from across the hallway.
"yes! i'm almost ready!" i shout.
we came home early morning, but i'm leaving to go to the store for presents.
"hey rose if i give you money, would you buy a present for mom? i also want to get her something" hayley says, walking into my room.
"okay, hand it over" i say.
she opens her box of money, and pulls out $5 dollars.
"what the hell do you want me to get her? a lollipop?" i said.
"don't be rude" she hissed. "you'll pitch in right?" she sarcastically smiled.
feeling my eye twitch being annoyed, i grabbed the bill and shoved it in my pocket.
"get out" i didn't argue, but i said it in a very blank tone.
WE WALKED INTO THE MALL and seen how crowded it was. the day before christmas is always the worst day to shop, but we insist shopping last minute.
"okay we need to get out of here in 2 hours" leah gazed, looking over at the people.
"yeah i doubt that" nathan snickered.
"you're right" leah agreed.
"well let's start walking" jimena says.
we walk over to the stores and seen some we eventually liked. i bought my mom a purse, with the $5 dollars hayley gave me. i also bought some other stuff for leah and jimena, and something for nathan too. i also got milo a piece of jewelry, a necklace i'm sure he'll like. even if he was acting a little strange, i wanted to gift him something. this gift wouldn't be given to him until february.
after 5 HOURS of shopping, we left the mall and went to a restaurant.
"so about the dinner, is the 27th alright?" leah asks.
"yeah, i don't think we'll have anything then. i'll let my mom know" i say.
"same with rose"
"dress code: formal" she says.
"what's with your dad wanting to dress formal? i just seen that man rocking some crocs the other day" jimena says.
we all let out a laugh and leah explains how her dad likes to dress up. it reminds him of leah's mom, she loved dressing up for everything and he kept it that way, even after she passed.
