••ITS BEEN A WEEK SINCE milo left new york and things have been the same. my winter performance was today and i'm not gonna lie, i didn't know a couple of songs but i feel i'll be fine.
"hey jimy, can you come help me with my dress?" i shout.
"coming!"
she comes rushing in with her dress on too. hers was so long she practically almost trips all the time.
"you've never thought about getting it tailored? i mean this is your dress for the next 2 years" i say.
"yes but, it's never occurred to me" she says, grabbing the two strings from the back.
"hm well, i was also gonna ask you about california. does your dad know your going for vacation?" i ask.
"yeah but, me and him argued the other day on the phone. i don't think he wants me coming home for those 2 weeks" she replied.
jimena has never had it easy. she might be the funniest and brightest person, but she comes from a sad household.
"if anything, my house is open doors for you always. sorry but i know how shitty your dad can be sometimes" i say.
"yeah i know, but thank you" she says.
leaving my waist tighten up, i turn towards her and help her with her dress.
"so introducing nathan to your father isn't gonna happen then?".
"no, and i really wanted to introduce him too" she says.
you can hear the sadness in her voice, it even made me a little sad.
"but the good thing is that i'm meeting his parents so i'm not too bummed out" she says.
"well that's good, they're gonna love you" i cheered.
"i don't wanna ruin anything but it's almost 5:30 and we need to get going. i have to go through the procedures with freshman's this time" leah states, coming in the room.
"oh we're just wrapping up. jimy was just talking about california" i say.
"oh about cali, my dad wanted to get our families together and come to my place for dinner. this would be between christmas and new years" she says.
"oh i think i can work with that, i'll just let my mom know" i say.
"yeah same"
"okay well we'll talk more! let's go cause i don't wanna be late"
IT WAS AFTER the concert where we met up with nate and went somewhere to eat. we were all craving italian, so we decided to take nate to our favorite place.
"ohh i've heard of this place before" he says.
"it's underrated, but i'd rather it be like that" leah says.
"$12.00 for a plate of chicken alfredo? that's a steal" he says looking at the menu.
"yadda yadda, nathan where do you stay in LA?" leah questions.
