Chapter 2

I checked, and to my surprise, I saw Sheena.

"Shee? Were you there earlier?" I asked.

"I followed you earlier," she replied calmly.

"What? Did you hear?-" Before I could finish my sentence, she cut me off and said,

"Yes, I did. You shouldn't keep your feelings for Ate Jho forever. Maybe someday she'll feel the same way," she replied with concern in her eyes.

"But Shee, it's complicated and hard. I just don't know how and when," I said sadly with tears in my eyes.

"I will help you," Sheena replied, pleadingly.

A few seconds later, Jhoanna entered the restroom.

"Oh, you two are here. Why are you crying, Staku?" Jhoanna asked.

"Oh, yes, Ate Jho, we're here, but Staku is not crying. She—"

Before Sheena could finish her sentence, I cut her off and suddenly said, "I just got something in my eye."

Sheena and I left the restroom. "Okay, bye, Ate Jho," Sheena said with a smile on her face.

"That was a close one," I said.

Then Direk Lauren called us to take a group photo with our co-artists.

"Girls, come over. You'll get a photo with your co-artists,"

Jhoanna, Sheena, and the other girls approached Direk Lauren and went to their positions, while I stood there thinking about where to stand.

But then Jhoanna shouted my name and caught my attention.

"Stacey, come stand beside me!," she pleasantly shouted, and I approached her as there was no other place.

"I noticed that you are the one who's been ignoring me lately," she whispered.

I got nervous and suddenly replied,

"I'm sorry, my love. I didn't mean to." She looked surprised by my words slipping out, and I was shocked by what I said. It was unexpected, and I was so embarrassed that I couldn't look at Jho, but then she smirked.

"Oh, now you're calling me love. That's what I like," I was surprised by her observation, and my cheeks turned red.

I quickly changed the topic and said,

"I'm just teasing you, Jho," while laughing. She rolled her eyes.

A few minutes later, we entered the van to return to the BINI house.

"Staku," Ate Colet shouted.

"Why, Ate Cole?" I asked.

"Isn't Jho your best friend? Can you help me? I'm planning to have a weekend date with her. Can you suggest a place she likes?" she whispered.

Oh, she liked Jhoanna. I never thought of that, I sadly pondered in my mind.

"Ah, yes, I know somewhere she likes. You can try on (location). It is a romantic place where you can take Jho," I replied, but I felt jealous.

I never knew she liked her. What if she beats me to it? I thought to myself.

"Thank you, you're the best, Staku!" she happily said.

"But, Ate Colet, I thought you liked Ate Maloi?" I asked.

"Chill, it's just a friendly date, Staku. She's yours to play with," she said.

What did she mean by "she's mine to play with"? Is she saying Jho is hers to love, and Jho is mine to play with? Never mind.
