Ali Baba was a powerful god-like being. He saw the planet of Earth, and many things he liked about it. However, there were also things he didn't like about it, so he left that universe, and went to create his own, in an empty canvas. There he would start fresh, and make a world without the Earth's worst imperfections. But he had trouble getting started, and that was when he met a goddess, literally a goddess! Her name was Faywyn.

The two shared many views of the universes, as well as Earth, and they fell in love, and cosmically married. They wished to have a child, but Faywyn fell ill. She asked Ali to turn her into a planet, to preserve their child. He did so, missing her as a fellow life-form.

Her sacrifice would not be in vain. Ali Baba chose a very worthy couple to give birth to his and Faywyn's son, and used him to show the growing people, living on the planet of Faywyn, very important things. The things Earth still struggles to understand. Ali kept the similarities he liked, however (such as the months and days of the week), while adding his own touches, like living, "mythical" things that humans liked to come up with, to exist with the humans of this world. Magic was a thing Ali liked, and Faywyn as well, but it didn't seem to actually exist on Earth, so he changed that for Faywyn.

His son died, but his lessons and teachings lived on. Ali Baba was very proud of him, as he saw that reflected in Faywyn's people. Ali began to love them. So much so that he decided to do something very special for them.

Ali Baba created five genies, each named for the stone of their birth month. They were Garnet, Emerald, Pearl, Peridot, and Sapphire (all of them intersex and non-binary). He raised them like his own children from infancy, preparing them all for the day they turned eighteen.

He had granted them all the ability to grant wishes, with a few respective rules and boundaries, and when they all turned eighteen, he would release them out into the world to do so. Of course, he decided to give them a few natural genie powers on the side, so they could have some fun of their own growing up. Sadly, the genie's eighteenth birthdays seemed to come too soon. When that day arrived, Ali Baba bound each of them to a lamp (which would slow their aging slightly for as long as they were stuck in it), and sent each to a different part of the world to grant wishes for various masters.

Ali Baba had secretly hoped all their lives that wishes wouldn't be the only thing people would want these genies for. Having raised them, he knew all about their lovely and unique personalities, and he wanted them to see what the world of Faywyn was growing to be. He hoped that one day, at least one master would free one of the genies. Ali began waiting for that day, and it seemed to last forever.

Until now...
