Josh had been searching since the day before the wedding. Sapph had been searching with him during the following week. They were both searching through magazines and websites to find a nice place for a honeymoon, but hadn't landed on anything just yet. So many vacations were really pricey, or far away, or uncomfortably crowded (which Sapph had been specifically looking for for Josh's sake).

This evening, four days after the wedding, the two were slumped in the living room, surrounded by magazines, both in front of their laptops. Joshua was holding up a small book, Camping Guide A-Z, looking at it and promptly spinning a globe, then looking at his laptop. The cycle repeated for a while.

Sapphire, meanwhile, was lazily in pieces without a care. Their left leg and right foot lay strewn on the floor, their head snug between their manspread hips, their left arm laying limp and alone on the arm of the chair while their right moved the mouse and typed. Their head looked quite sleepy, and a bit frustrated.

After a while, Joshua sighed.

"These days it's hard to decide," he said softly.

Sapphire's head had fallen asleep, beginning to snore, the rest of their split body becoming lethargic and still. Josh scratched his chin thoughtfully.

"Tell ya what Babe," he said finally.

At that, all of Sapph woke with a start. "Wh-wha..." their head yawned, eyes open wide turning to Josh, who smiled softly.

"How about a hot cup o' cocoa, hm?" he suggested.

At this, Sapphire's waking head managed a smile. "That'd be nice," they said genuinely.

Joshua's grin widened, and he sat up and headed for the kitchen. "I'll get the kettle on."

And that's what he did. When the cocoa was finished, he brought out a tray with two steaming mugs. He found Sapph back together, just popping their head back on, and he chuckled. He set the tray on the coffee table between them, and began sipping from his mug. He exhaled satisfactorily.

"That's better, isn't it?" he asked.

"It sure is," Sapphire agreed.

Joshua smiled, and turned back to his laptop. In one last attempt to find somewhere nice, he took a look at a website his parents used to for family vacations. There he saw really nice places that were big enough, yet reasonably priced, and not very crowded or in a crowded place at all. Scrolling down, one place caught his eye.

It was a very nice and cozy looking house, and it was big, but not too big. Josh looked into it, and saw that the house was a secluded resort location in the middle of the woods. There was a nice view from the house's balcony as Josh looked at the pictures. He spent more time looking at this place, and saw that it wasn't very pricey at all. Inexpensive, not too far from home, not crowded, and on top of all that, the lovely reviews....

"It's perfect!" Joshua gasped.

Sapphire looked up curiously. "What is it?"

"Take a look," Josh answered excitedly.

Sapph sat next to him, and saw the house, looking just as excited as he felt.

"Oh...that — that is perfect!" they said, sounding excited.

"I've shown you so much of the progressive and technological world," Josh said, "and I thought maybe we could get closer to nature for a change."

He smiled at Sapph, who smiled back. "That would be lovely," they said.

They leaned against Josh, who wrapped his arm around their shoulder.

"How does, like, three or four days sound?" he asked.
