˗ˏˋ ♡ ˎˊ˗RIVER
"I missed you, Rivy!"
My smile turns to a full wide grin as my youngest brother, Luka, jumps to hug me. It's been only three days since we've seen each other and somehow felt like years.
"You two doing alright?" I mess up their hair, stealing a glance at the older one between the two.
Luka nods, "Better now, you?"
"Just a little tired, I didn't sleep much," I give it a shrug, hoping the slight back pain leaves before tonight. I swear I feel like an old lady sometimes.
Niko eyes me, "We can tell."
"Way to make a girl feel better," my brows raise incredulously as I gently shove him, "Now, are you two going to show me what you're wearing tonight or what?"
"Come look," Luka grabs my arm and pulls me inside the room, where two matching suits lay on one of the twin beds.
The ties are a golden yellow color, getting more attention against the white background of the shirt. Both blazer's are black, same as the pants, and each have the respective boy's initials.
We've always been a family who prefers simple over extravagant. The details are the most important part, it's also how you know who actually notices you.
An event like this one is the last place I'd ever look for a future partner, but it's a good way to know who I shall waste my attention for the night.
What I told my friends was true though, there's not many people my age attending. Most are given the choice of not coming and, obviously, they decide not to bore themselves for long hours.
"Will Rina be there too?" Luka snaps me back to reality, surprising me with his question.
"I'm sorry buddy, but you know she is busy with work and being a supermodel," I try to add some playfulness in the end to light up the mood but it does nothing to make things better.
"I wish she'd be here," he sighs.
"Me too," I agree, with a slow nod of my head and as my lips press together, "Here's an idea, what if we give her a call? I'm sure she can step aside for two minutes."
His face brightens, "Can we do it?"
Flashing him a smile, I grab the computer and place it on the small desk of the room. Luka helps me open it and go through the password, while I steal a glance at his older brother.
"You guys go ahead, I will check of they have extra towels," he waves an awkward hand to the closet full of them, before walking out without any more words.
After my sister left to follow her dreams it got harder to maintain contact, at least as often as it used to be. Niko became a little resentful towards her and barely shows any initiative to speak with Rina.
Anyway, I turn my attention back to the situation in hands and send her a quick text. She answer pretty quickly and not even five minutes later we're on a FaceTime call.
"What's up, you two?" the aesthetic-looking apartment of hers makes it to the screen. I've always wanted one like that.
"RinRin!" I swear these boys come up with the most random nicknames for us, "It's not the same without you here,"
