The night shift

I needed sleep but whenever you need something the most, it's never there. Since there were three of us girls they decided to give us our own small room but only Mia and I stayed there that night. Teresa was missing, I didn't know where she was, Mia wouldn't speak to me and I didn't want to speak to any of the boys.

"Mia please, I know you don't wanna speak to me but she's my sister, I just need to know she's okay" I was on the verge of tears, I f something happened to her I would always blame myself. "For God sake, she's fine, your so over dramatic all the damn time" she's said as she rolled over to face the concrete wall. "Oh, thanks" I said surprised she had actually answered me. She sighed and went back to ignoring me.

Just then Aris burst through the vent underneath the bed Teresa was supposed to be in. "What the fuck Aris?" I shouted forcing Mia to turn around. "You gotta come with me YN" he said desperately turning around to head back into the air duct. "Dude there's something wrong with you" I said jumping from my bunk and sliding myself towards the vent.

"Where are you going?" Mia asked as I went to close the vent cover "no idea, be back soon Mi." I said and closed the vent right on her face.

"Aris where are we going?" I said trailing along behind him. "To find your friend" he said craning his neck around to face me "Who? And more Importantly why?" I said concerned, if he meant anyone from the glade, especially Newt I was going to cry. "The brown haired boy and I need to show you both something" presuming the brown haired boy was Thomas I let out a sigh, a loud one apparently becuase aris let out a little laugh that I don't think I was supposed to hear.

Second later I heard crashing right infront of us and then there was bright red light. I wasn't really sure what was going on but I was ninety percent sure we had reached the boys dorm. I was trying to make out the muffled whispers inside the room but nothing that was said was clear, all I could hear was Frys snoring, a very familiar sound. I wasn't paying that much attention when Aris turned around and stared right in my face. We must have been making eye contact for a solid minute before I let him past.

One of my favourite memories is the way Thomas looked when he saw me. The shock in his face was absolutely priceless and I stared laughing so loudly to the point where I could hardly breathe. "Shush" aris sharply whispered and for some reason I did, instantly. For some reason I seemed to trust him and Thomas seemed to notice.

We crawled through the vents in silence until we reached a blocked off section. The three of us crowded around an unobstructed vent and looked out at a door. "Why are we here?" I asked as quietly as possible "Shush, were gonna miss it" he said looking directly at me. He looked so sweet and caring, I really liked him, as a friend obviously...

Clock work. The only way it could be described, 23.04, on the dot. Three doctors, one body and a seriously technical hospital bed. It didn't feel real, to be seeing the people that were supposed to be helping us were smuggling body's around late at night.

The night staff, tall, dark haired men dressed in blue jumpsuits escorting around Dr.Crawford and wheeling around a very suspicious bed. They terrified me so much to the point where I would hyperventilate whenever it felt like they could see me.

I think the two boys seemed to notice as I felt someone place their hand on top of mine, I looked at Thomas but he was still staring down at the disappearing staff. But that meant, it was Aris holding my hand.
