A/n: guys I'm literally so scared and so mad because school starts again this monday, and I'm starting my JUNIOR year! But basically I had a class with two of best best friends in third hour PLUS I had the same lunch as them, but all the sudden the counselor decided to change my lunch so I don't have it with literally ANYBODY I know. And when I say anybody I know, I'm not exaggerating, literally nobody.
So anyways, lunch is based off your fourth hour, which didn't change, but I submitted a request to change my fourth hour in hopes to change my lunch, but you know what they did? They moved the class I put for my fourth hour to my third hour, and the class I used to have third hour to fourth. And I still have second lunch.
Meaning I don't get a class with my best friends, but also not lunch.
I literally want to cry about it so bad but I don't know what to do to convince them to change my classes again🙁
Anyways, sorry bout the rant👎
"Hey, you realize Christmas is in, like, four days?" I say, my eyes widening in thought.
Matteo pauses from eating his food to look up at me. Then he glances around the almost empty food hall. "Hm, I guess you're right." He notes plainly.
Hardly anyone stayed for Christmas break, so there was only four other people in the normally full and bustling hall. The staff tried to decorate it for the Christmas spirit, and though I'm sad to not be at home for Christmas, they did a pretty good job at making it feel homely.
A dark green Christmas tree sits at the front near the windows, decorated with traditional ornaments and a string of yellow lights. Garlands are strung on the walls, wreaths and plants decorating the top of doorways.
I turn towards Matteo, leaning towards him. "What should I get you for Christmas?"
He stops and answers, "nothing."
"What, why?" I pout. "I want to get you guys something. I am going to get you guys something," I say in a finalized tone, leaving no room for him to argue.
"Nothing big or expensive. Has to be the smallest present ever, yes?" He narrows his like it's a threat.
I shrug. "We'll see." I squint my eyes in though, placing my chin on my hand as I stare into the air. "What do you think the other would want? I don't really know Alex well, I never talk to him, but I can't just get you guys presents and not him. He'll feel bad."
"I think he'll be fine if he doesn't get a Christmas present." He snorts.
"You don't know that." I frown in thought. "Maybe he's going to feel very left out and then he'll dislike me."
