thirteen ,, launch

before logan and lina attended the party to celebrate oscar's first win, they decided that they were going to fully launch their fake relationship afterwards, with photos that they took at the party, and use cringe captions. they thought it was the funniest thing ever.

"this is perfect." lina laughed, looking at their outfits in the mirror. "we look like we are about to go to prom though"

"is that not the goal?" logan replied, smirking, "we could definitely nail the prom couple theme"

the first people who they launched their fake relationship to were the people who attended the party. oscar was completely in on the plan from the start, but after a while he had had one too many drinks and kept preaching to people, "my sister has the besstttt boyfriend", which worked equally as well.

as you can tell, they both had way too much fun posting these, and hard launching their fake relationship. oscar had just as much fun, being their personal photographer.

"i still don't think we are taylonso material" lina sighed, after viewing both of their posts and reposting them to her story. "we are just not secretive enough!"

"i thought you wanted it to be public." logan whispered, as he got close to her, their faces just inches away from one another. the tension rose high, nobody was watching, nor did they care, so why was he playing these games? he pulled away, and she felt like she could breathe again, as she had just been pulled under water for a few seconds.

both of them were relatively sober, compared to the rest of the people in the room. logan was a little bit more than lina, as they had to get home somehow, but the way he was acting, you wouldn't think that this was in his own regular mind that he was giving off these mixed signals.

lina didn't have any sight of lando the whole time. she didn't know why she wondered where he was really, she was blessed to not have been around him - in case he had a crazy outburst at her again. she still didn't know what that was about, but she figured it had something to do with logan, although she kept those ideas to herself.

to be completely honest, she didn't see much of oscar either. after taking photos for them, he had vanished off into the crowd. she didn't blame him though, not really. it was his night and why would he not enjoy it? she knew if it was her, she would have made the absolute most of it.

lina had to switch her phone to do not disturb to stop the mass of notifications coming through. she supposed this is what happens when someone launches their relationship with someone who is technically famous - but she wouldn't know, obviously.

it felt good though, and for a minute it almost felt real. was it because she wanted it to feel real? and she knew it wouldn't last forever, and that made her want to withdraw herself from the situation even though at the same time she never wanted it to stop.

there was nobody who she could safely talk to about how she felt. and so in the middle of a party that lina has been waiting to attend for her entire life, she feels trapped.

she considers talking to logan about it, but she wondered whether he would end the whole thing altogether - as the unspoken agreement between the both of them in their fake relationship was obviously - don't fall in love. it's the main rule. she would like to say she hasn't fallen in love, but at this moment, she couldn't put it in to words. lina has never been in love before. or maybe she always has, she just didn't realise what she felt.

although lina has all of these people around her, and is the happiest she has ever been, she still feels ultimately alone.
