they talked it out, and it was settled. they would spend some time together, and then post about it. this agreement was no way near the same as the one that lina had with logan. she knew it wasn't the same.
it just didn't feel the same. the way she felt when she thought about it. if anything, lando was just a friend. if she could even class him as a friend, that is. but it was really nice of him to do a favour for her like this, considering the past that they had.
lina decided that even if the plan didn't work, and he didn't reach out to her, then at least she had spent some time with another social media creator, and that would definitely look great for her - they could call it a collab. she was clearly trying to give herself other reasons on why she was doing such an odd thing after months of staying specifically away from f1.
but she knew the real reason. the reason was a blonde american man who had always had some sort of special place to her, she just didn't know it. but a summer away from him - although it had done her some good - had still felt like torture.
she figured that she could do it right this time, because whatever she had done to drive him away during those 2 weeks, she could fix.
lina met up with lando the following day. he was still the same as always, and she couldn't bring herself to like him, but at least he was helping her. they went out into the city, not really with any plans directly.
as they walked around the city, they talked a lot. lina found the conversation flowed nicely between them, and although she would never truly like him, they could still be friends, because they were more alike than they thought.

as well as taking some really cool and also pretty believable photos, she had so much fun. they stayed out late into the night, and lina even felt reluctant when she finally made the decision to go home, to save herself from the exhaustion the next day.
she went to sleep with not a single thought of logan sargeant in her mind, but many of the city lights, her friends, and her future.
lina even missed the notification which was the purpose of the entire night out, because she was so tired when she arrived back to her hotel.
she slept all the way through the night, and late into the next day, peacefully. dreaming of the things that she could do in the near future, with such wonderful friends and opportunities, she didn't have wake up until mid-afternoon.
many would consider this a day wasted, but she woke up so refreshed and happy, with the sun beaming down on her face, that none of that really mattered.
