Author's POV:-

Ruhanika lay in her guest room, staring at the ceiling, unable to sleep. She felt a strange restlessness, a pull that urged her out of bed.

Deciding that a glass of water might help, she slipped out of her covers and padded to the door.

The house fell silent, Hours passed, and the Raghuvanshi's and Singhania's drifted into a deep, peaceful sleep

She hesitated, glancing down at her attire - a short, soft night dress that barely reached mid-thigh.

She shrugged, figuring everyone was asleep and it wouldn't matter

She shrugged, figuring everyone was asleep and it wouldn't matter. Quietly, she opened the door and tiptoed down the stairs.

The kitchen was bathed in a gentle glow from the night light, casting soft shadows that danced on the walls.

Ruhanika moved to the fridge, her bare feet making no sound on the cool tiles. She poured herself a glass of water and turned to lean against the counter, savoring the stillness of the night.

Unbeknownst to her, Devaansh had also found sleep elusive. After tossing and turning, he decided he needed a drink of water.

He rolled out of bed and, clad only in a pair of sweatpants thinking who will be up at this time, made his way downstairs.

As he reached the bottom step, he saw a figure in the kitchen. For a moment, he froze, his mind racing through the possibilities. Then he recognized Ruhanika, her silhouette framed by the soft light.

He felt a jolt of surprise and something else - an unspoken tension that hung in the air between them.

"Ruhanika?" he called out softly, not wanting to startle her.

She turned, her eyes widening slightly in surprise.

"Devaansh, you scared me!" she whispered, a hand flying to her chest.

"Sorry," he said, stepping into the kitchen.

"I didn't expect anyone else to be up."

"I couldn't sleep," she explained, holding up her glass.

"Needed some water."

"Same here," he said, moving to the sink to fill his own glass. The kitchen suddenly felt much smaller with the two of them in it.

"You always roam like this in the house?" She asked, being a little flushed.

"Oh I thought who will be up at this time so come out like this." He shrugged and she nodded.

"Looks like you're stuck with us for a few days," Ruhanika said, her voice teasing yet soft.

"Could be worse." Devaansh replied with a slight smile.
