𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿'𝘀 𝗣𝗢𝗩:-
Suddenly, a burst of giddy laughter escaped him, and without thinking, he dashed towards his room like a little boy who had just been handed his favorite toy.
He slammed the door behind him and collapsed onto his bed, burying his face in his pillow, kicking his feet in the air like a child.
He felt ridiculous, but he couldn't help it-he was too happy, too overwhelmed by the sheer joy of the moment.
His heart was racing as if he had just run a marathon, and his thoughts were all over the place. He thought about Ruhanika, about the softness of her lips, about how perfect the moment had been.
He felt like a teenager all over again, experiencing his first crush, unsure of how to handle the storm of emotions brewing inside him.
"She kissed me!" He muttered to himself, flipping over onto his back and staring up at the ceiling with wide eyes.
His face broke into a wide, goofy grin, and he covered his face with his hands, as if trying to hide from the sheer embarrassment of how childishly he was acting.
Devaansh jumped out of bed and began pacing his room, too full of energy to sit still.
"What does this mean? Does she like me? Does she feel the same way?" He asked himself, his voice rising in excitement.
He grabbed a pillow and hugged it tight, twirling around in circles like a child at a carnival, giggling to himself at the absurdity of it all.
"I can't believe it! I can't believe she kissed me!" He tossed the pillow in the air, laughing as it landed haphazardly on the floor.
He took out his phone and opened his Instagram that was filled with likes followers as the comment section was off.
His Instagram bio read, "Single and living life." It was a simple, straightforward statement that reflected the reality he had always known-until now.
His thumb hesitated over the delete button. Did he really want to do this? He hadn't even confessed his feelings to her.
But somewhere deep within him, Devaansh knew that his status no longer reflected his truth. He didn't feel single. He felt taken-by her.
His heart, his mind, his attention, everything seemed to revolve around Ruhanika these days, whether he admitted it or not.
And while he hadn't gathered the courage to tell her how he felt, this change felt like a step in that direction.
It wasn't a confession, but it was a small way of acknowledging, at least to himself, that his feelings for her had evolved.
Devaansh stared at the screen for what felt like an eternity before he made his decision. He erased the word "Single" and replaced it with "Taken."
A surge of emotions washed over him as he clicked "Save." It was done. A simple, almost mundane change on social media, yet it felt monumental. It was like putting his heart on display, albeit subtly, for the world to see.
For a moment, panic set in. What if Ruhanika saw it? Would she ask him about it? Would she assume it was about someone else?
He ran through various scenarios in his mind, each one more awkward than the last. But then he calmed himself. This was his truth now, and sooner or later, he would have to confront it.
Whether she saw it or not, the change felt liberating, as if he had taken one step closer to admitting what he had been holding back for so long.
He felt like he was on top of the world, like nothing could bring him down from the high he was experiencing. His mind replayed the moment over and over again, each time feeling even more magical.
