They reached the top of the hill, where a large rock jutted out, offering a perfect spot to sit and admire the view. The rock was smooth, worn down by years of exposure to the elements.

Without a word, they both sat down, the silence between them filled with a tension neither could fully understand.

The view from the rock was breathtaking. The vast expanse of land stretched out before them, with the town below looking like a miniature model.

The river snaked through the valley, its waters reflecting the colors of the sky, and the distant mountains stood tall and majestic, their peaks tinged with the last light of the day.

Ruhanika pulled her knees up to her chest, wrapping her arms around them as she gazed out at the horizon.

Devaansh sat beside her, his hands resting on the rock, his fingers digging into the cool surface as if grounding himself.

The silence between them was comfortable, yet charged, like the calm before a storm.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" Ruhanika's voice was soft, barely above a whisper, as she broke the silence.

Devaansh turned to look at her, his eyes softening as he took in the sight of her. Her long hair was caught in the breeze, strands of it blowing across her face, and she absentmindedly tucked them behind her ear. Her eyes, usually so full of life, were distant, as if lost in thought.

"Yeah, it is!" Devaansh replied, his voice equally quiet. But he wasn't talking about the view.

His gaze lingered on her face, on the way her eyes sparkled in the fading light, on the curve of her lips as she smiled softly to herself.

He had admired her from afar for so long, but sitting here, so close to her, he was overwhelmed by the depth of his feelings.

Ruhanika felt his gaze on her and turned to meet his eyes. There was something in his expression that made her heart skip a beat, something that she had seen glimpses of before but had always brushed aside as wishful thinking.

Could it be that he felt the same way she did? The thought was both exhilarating and terrifying.

"What's on your mind?" Ruhanika asked, trying to keep her tone light, but the question held a weight that neither of them could ignore.

Devaansh hesitated, his mind racing as he tried to find the right words. How could he tell her what was truly on his mind without risking everything? But at the same time, he couldn't keep his feelings bottled up forever.

"I was just thinking," he began slowly, choosing his words carefully, " About the company yeah." He said with a little smile.

How could he confess his feelings? What if she didn't feel the same way? The fear of losing her was too great, and so he swallowed the words that were on the tip of his tongue.

Ruhanika nodded, a small smile playing on her lips. Ruhanika turned away, looking back at the horizon, but her heart was pounding in her chest. She wanted to tell him how she felt, but she was afraid-afraid of rejection, afraid of ruining what they had.

The sun was dipping lower now, the sky a deep orange with streaks of red and purple. The air had grown cooler, and Ruhanika shivered slightly, pulling her hoodie tighter around her.

Devaansh noticed and without thinking, shrugged off his denim jacket and draped it over her shoulders.

"Here, you looked cold." He said softly. Ruhanika smiled up at him, her heart swelling with affection.
