It was legitimately impossible to escape Phantom once he got ahold of her. From the moment Mina stepped out of her bedroom, he'd be waiting in the corridor. If she couldn't reach a book in the library, there he was behind her reaching for it. Not to mention, the absolute nightmare it was walking throughout the corridors with Phantom. He took being a guard dog way too seriously over someone who was strictly there to teach him.
If Mina walked even slightly close to a man, Phantom was sending death glares whilst tugging her against his side taking ownership. Dew had even learned a tough lesson about getting too close to Mina one afternoon. Phantom may not have known Dew that long but he certainly knew how to threaten him well enough. Granted it was obvious with how serious Dew took his treasured belongings so it wasn't that hard.
Mina was running out of options on how to hide from him, at least to get some peace and quiet. Just some breathing room would be nice for a change considering Phantom was practically glued to her side when he was around. If she thought Dew was touchy then Phantom amped it up by ten fold. At this point, Mina was beginning to wonder if Dew sent him to torment the Hell out of her. It didn't seem possible to have her cheeks this flushed red all the time from his constant teasing and seductive little comments.
"Not that I don't appreciate it, Phantom. But I think I can carry my own plate." Mina wasn't even able to carry things on her own lately. As sweet as it was, she was very capable of carrying her books or taking food to the table. Phantom took care of everything these days or at least tired to if she didn't get to it first.
"Don't you like when I help you, babygirl?" Phantom titled his head in curiosity. It was entirely unfair to be this red in the cheeks at eight am. Dew was already laughing by the time Phantom set Mina's plate down at their usual table. He slide his chair closer to hers, straddling it and resting his arms against the back.
Trying to keep your composure that early in the morning couldn't be more difficult as he ran a claw through her hair, twirling it around curiously. It really was impossible for Mina to get Phantom to keep his hands to himself the more the days dragged on. Plus it didn't help that Dew egged him on creating more torture for her. Her body completely working against her these days.
"It's very kind of you but you don't need to help me, I'm suppose to be the one assisting you." Mina had this talk at least ten times this week but it didn't seem to be getting to him. It felt like Phantom took it upon himself to be her personal 'helper'. And that didn't just account for normal day activities but he definitely made remarks about helping her in bed. Mina was certainly not certified in dealing with horny gremlin ghouls.
"Dew already taught me what I needed to know." Phantom shrugged. Once he had gotten summoned and ripped away from Mina, Dew had personally taken him under his wing. Not that the fire ghoul was much help honestly. His advice consisted of strictly avoiding Sister Imperator and getting his dick wet. Dew was surprised that he lacked interest in the other clergy members but it all made sense when all he asked about was Mina. Not that Dew judged much but it was unhealthy amount of times he asked.
"That was very...kind of Dew but he isn't exactly the best teacher." Mina grimaced. As rude as that seemed, it was painstakingly honest. The ghoul's only interests was fucking, setting things on fire and performing. What did he know about maintaining a somewhat normal life around here? "I'm sorry Dew. You know I love you, right?" Mina sunk in her seat once seeing his pointed glare.
"Love?" Phantom hissed. Mina should've known better these days about showing any type of 'affection' for others around him. It wasn't that common to deal with a freshly summoned ghoul who latched onto her in such an unhealthy manner. Mina was beginning to wonder if something truly went wrong with the ritual. Papa really needed to more careful with his choice in summoning rituals if this was the result.
"Well Dew and I have been friends for a while now, sometimes people use the term love in different ways." Mina explained. Not that she owned Phantom any kind of explanation but it seemed easier to just calm him down.
"Don't worry gremlin, you can have her." Dew snickered before taking his leave to do his daily routine of harassing the other ghouls. Mina huffed while stabbing a fork into her abandoned breakfast. How was she going to get through another week of this? She was lucky she barely had a social life around here. Because if Phantom had anything to do with it, he'd be all she had.
"So when do I get to have all of you?" Phantom trailed a claw down the length of her exposed neck. She could strangle Dew right now for egging him on like usual. This was exactly how Phantom got his brilliant ideas.
"You can't have me, Phantom. I'm here to teach you that's all. I'm certain that you can find another clergy member to entertain." Mina explained. Granted yes it was very nice to have someone desperate for her attention. But it didn't seem all that real, Phantom was just simply enamored. She was the first human he has ever seen and that seemed enticing. It happened with Dew and he quickly learned to toy around elsewhere.
"I don't want them, I want you." Mina's heart racing as he drew closer to her. Her cheeks flushing bright red as he placed a kiss on her neck. Phantom took her abandoned plate to throw away leaving her alone at the table.
Mina took a deep breath letting her heart get back to a normal pace. It was certain that he wouldn't stay away that much longer. This was a good opportunity for her to gain back some composure. She definitely needed to have a long conversation with Papa once he was available to go over the summoning ritual again. Perhaps she simply said something wrong? Or maybe she'd be right and he'd loose interest eventually.
Dew never kept interest on a sibling for too long so it had to be the same for Phantom? At least that was what Mina was hopeful for. It's not like she was reciprocating his 'feelings' or whatever this was. However Mina knew really deep down it was so enticing to have him want her. Nobody in the ministry paid her any attention unless you counted Dew. Phantom acted like he craved her and it was slowly becoming hard not to fall into the trap. She just didn't want to get hurt.
Ghouls lived for eternities whereas one day, Mina would unfortunately die. Phantom didn't really need to waste time with some ordinary human. No matter if he may feel like he owed her for bringing him to Earth. Mina had to remind herself that this was her job and maybe he was just toying with her like Dew often did.
She would just have to dodge every advance he made. It was best for the both of them in the end. Mina sighed while watching Phantom walk back towards her, his attention solely on her. It didn't matter if there were other siblings eyeing him, he didn't even notice and that's what made Mina's heart sink. This was going to be a very hard challenge and she wasn't even sure if it was worth winning.
