Sevyn "Cove" Phillips.
November 21, 2021
Georgetown, Delaware

It has been a few weeks since the trial and today was Sunday so Sevyn had the day off. She actually hasn't been to work in a few weeks. Ever since the trial, she hasn't been able to keep her mind clear and focused and Trix also was constantly popping up at her job trying to send a message to her.

She trapped her self in her house, scared for her life. All she wanted to do was make money and go to school to start her career but she doesn't have the balls to leave the house.

Sevyn desperately wants to go visit Jamari. She needed to see him, hear his voice, and stare at his beautiful eyes. But she just knew he didn't fuck with her anymore.

Sevyn got up from her bed and went into the kitchen to make herself something to eat. She wasn't craving anything but she needed to eat something.

She opened the fridge noticing the only things she had in there were vegetable. She decided on a small salad so she grabbed the items and began to assemble her salad.

After making her food, she sat at her island, only able to take a few bites before loosing her appetite. She pushed the bowl away from her and walked back down to her living room.

She decided to get some fresh air and sit on her porch. She slid her freshly painted toes into her pink bubble slides that stayed next to the door and walked outside.

She sat down on the steps and took a deep breath, finally feeling like she was able to breathe again.

"Let me check the mail." Sevyn spoke while trying to get her mind off of everything. She walked down the steps and headed to her mail box that stood on the curb.

She opened it and saw it was filled to the brim. She has a really bad habit of not checking her mail box on a daily basis. The woman took all of the mail out and sat back down on the steps.

She flipped through the mail that was filled of bills she's already paid, flyers, postcards that didn't belong to her and magazine subscriptions that must've belong to the previous owner.

As the woman rummaged through the rest of the mail, a small white envelope drops into her lap. She picked up the letter that was addressed to her and the noticed the postage stamp was from the federal prison.

Sevyn held the letter in her hand, hesitant on opening it. Before she could open it, she heard tired screeching down the street and she instantly got scared. The woman grabbed all the mail and ran into the house locked it behind her, then closed all of her blind and curtains.

Sevyn placed all of the mail onto the kitchen counter and walked up the stairs to her bedroom stilling holding onto the letter from Jamari.

The woman laid flat on the bed holding the letter close to her chest, before deciding to rip it open and read it.

Sevyn. What the fuck? How could you betray me like this.. I thought we were friends.. I need to see you and figure this out. I can't be in here, you know I'm innocent.

I miss you... and I need you.
- Jamari

Sevyn held the letter close to her chest once again as she let the tears fall. She knew he needed her but she was happy to know he was safe.
